| Good for both of them.
Turner isnt a world beater but is a good solid centre, he is about as good as there is out there that is available or likely to be available in the near future.
Pervcival represents an exciting young talent. He has a lot to learn so a two year extension to his 21st birthday should give a better indication of were he will end up at quality wise. All the signs are that he will be very good.
I think Saints are signalling that they see Turner and Percival as the clubs two centres going forward.
We just need to get the wings sorted out. I guess Makinson will fill one position, though i dont see him as a genuine top drawer winger, just fairly solid pro with a bit of pace.
We therefore just need to sign one other winger, preferably a proper Saints winger to excite the crowd and give us full length trys to savour. I dont want us to sign a big solid lump who can make hard yards but who offers no excitement and flair.

| Given we need to rebuild our front row and half back it is good that we will have a stable backline for the next few years.Percy is a no brainer and Turner has done quite a bit with limited ball.

To be honest I would be amazed if he was even considered for a new deal.

I think Wheeler will be first choice standoff next year, if fit.
Evidence this year suggests that Brown prefers lance at hooker than in the halves.

I don't think Brown rates Hohaia at all. He's reluctant to start him anywhere, even when we're down to fielding teenage fullbacks at hooker or geriatrics in the halves.

Pretty much agree with you.
There have been various comments and sometimes omissions from Brown surrounding Lance, that tend to make one think that he isnt seen as a half in any shape or form.
I think Brown respects him as a player, but just doesnt know were to fit him in, i think he said as much last year.
I also think its interesting that he hasnt bothered playing him at fullback either, which is the position he played at regularly in the NRL, preferring young Makinson. Suspect this is more about trying to develop Tommys all round game, rather than a slight on Hohoia as such.

| Quote St pete="St pete"I'm not so sure if have give Turner a new deal YET. He's not really impressed me that much. He's seems to lack effort and just goes thru the motions. I think he could be a good player but he's got to try harder. At the moment he's just a show pony.'"
I agree about Turner. I always feel like he could break tackles and be a handfull close to the line if he put more effort in.

If wheeler stays on, its got to be some sort of rolling contract or a no play-no pay.

Wheeler will never go for a pay as you play. He would get a deal at 50% of the super league clubs.

| Wheelers an enigma, wrapped in a paradox. All the talent, but horrible, horrible luck with injuries.
I really fear we let him go and he spends a decade punishing us at another club.
