| I was impressed by the pack, even dixon and ashurst looked solid and they have not had as good a year this year as last.
To be fair when I saw Puletua was out along with flannery, our bench was looking a little light. It looked positive for huddersfield.
(ROYCE: once again 3 subs) eh????????
I understand the back on the bench but did he even make the field tonight. He could have had a spell at loose or 2nd row surely. Even Gardner has had a slot in the 2nd row this year.
Hope we'll get a good pack and bench for the playoffs.
Puletua/LMS/Graham/Clough/Roby/Wilkin/Soliola/Flannery/Moore
Any chance of Perry making a miracle return.

| I thought it was a dour game to be honest. Yes our defense was very good, and that is pleasing, as our goalline defense especially has been suspect this year. Thought we took our tries well - haven't watched the replay yet, but from watching the big screen at the game, they all looked OK.
Hudds were very poor in attack though - only McGilvary looked dangerous to me. I also couldn't believe the number of times that Danny Brough took the ball in like a forward! Bizarre.
Saints attack - still too many stupid, simple errors that in big games, will cost us. Around the ruck, we look OK, and our pack has been fantastic - we still look a bit flat when we go out wide. Not many breaks tonight - I thought we missed Johnny Lomax in that regard, as he has been one of our more creative players this season.
ATEOTD, the result was the main thing tonight - with no disrespect to KR, Salford and Quins, tonight should have sealed 3rd for us (especially with Cats losing), and with a bit of luck, we could pip 2nd. Considering the season we have had with injuries, 3rd is a real success. The next 3 games, hopefully our attack will come together, and we could really trouble Wigan and Wire in the playoffs.

| clough looks like the next cunningham in terms of stature and fieryness. agree as well that ashurst and dixon especially were
very solid. foster for his age looks like a quality wing in the making aside from his kicking.

Yeh I am a foster fan, but have to admit, I'd like to see a little more on his kick returns tonight. He seamed to take a few seconds before deciding to run. Also had a brain fart for the Hudds try, but hey he's been pretty good all year. I think Makinson has no worries that his position is under threat. Armstrong was well, not Makinson.

| 2 poor sides contested a fairly poor game i thought.we were the better side for 20 minutes but didn't really look like doing anything.
we went missing in defence for a couple of tries,we created hardly anything, saints defence was very good, and you were pretty clinical in attack which showed on the scoreboard.
bentham was frustrating lets just say.
all in all no complaints from me,right result in the end.

| totally disagree. if you look at the semi pies and saints. it was similar in many respects in terms of no scoring but quality forward play, and
it was roby and prcye who seemed to unlock your defence. for an fl fan- it was a hard quality game where both sides played to the conditions.
the aim is to win and both sides played a game most suitable to winning in the wet conditions and a game suitable to the both sides who
are strong in the forwards.

it was last night
funny how i was saying to my brother and mates after about 20 minutes when we looked to have been the dominant team, how saints always seem to nick a try from nothing, sure enough, 2 minutes later up popped leon to score his obligatory try against us.

I like his enthusiasm and aggression, but he always does something stupid e.g. miss a tackle, give a penalty away or drop the ball.
He's a frustrating player that's for sure, but the talent is there.

He wasn't last season. This season however, he has been much improved, and is probably our only impact player from the bench these days, thanks to his much needed aggression.
