Those were my initial thoughts, but Nigel Wood on Radio Manchester last night said that Dobson could now be signed by any club obviously subject to salary cap and quota regulations. |

I would think we have some kind of agreement with Dobson that he isn't talking to anyone or anything.
It seems Mason entered the country on his NZ passport, still awaiting the return of his Tongan passport I'd assume, and therefore has to be registered with said NZ passport.
Dobson isn't any good to anyone for 2 months, and as others have said we would be foolish to take this risk.
I reckon that "by the book" Rovers have had to indeed "terminate his contract" and will "re-sign" him when Mason comes off the quota.
