| Quote Offside Monkey="Offside Monkey"I think he always looked pretty solid when he played, which, given his age was promising.
I'd say a dual contact to spend at least the first half of the season somewhere like leigh would do him the world of good, just like it helped Emmitt kick on.
What was the inspiration for this post?
As for him hiding, didn't he captain his England age group a couple in the past? I find it hard to think that a prop that goes missing would manage to get that gig.=#FF0000 Besides Rogues, i'm pretty sure I remeber you saying you rated him highly in the past.'"
No, the two props at Saints that I rated were Liam Bland and Danny Cooper, but both appear to have disappeared from the scene.
A friend who had junior coaching experience at Saints and a couple of lads who had played with and against Frodsham told me about him going missing (literally) against the likes of St. Pats and St. Judes when he was younger.

He's not gone missing in any game he's played for the first team.

I agree with that, he needs to be playing against men now to develop his game.

He's missed nearly two full seasons with injury, hopefully that won't continue.

It still doesn't fit with him captaining England. Perhaps such family connections have helped regarding the club keeping faith through his injury problems.
Frodsham is somewhat of a great white hope, allegedly excellent potential which we've failed to see due to his injuries over the last two seasons. Time is running out for him to make the step up, but I think the speccies have gone past the stage of listening to hype and letting youngsters make the step up gradually.
I do think a dual contract is a must for him, though. We need to know he's got more up his sleeve than being a decent reserve player.

So, you are basing this opinion on third-hand information, and also judging his 'bottle' as a player on third hand information concluded when he was essentially still a child?

I'm basing it on three peoples opinions.
One who coached him,
One who played with him,
And, one who played against him.
All Saints supporters by the way.
But I must admit I thought he was older than he is.
Time will tell.

So info from jealous third parties who Saints didn't sign, OK then.
Anyone writing off a young prop who isn't even 21 yet and has captained England needs to get a bit of perspective (not just you Rogues, there are some ridiculous comments made about Frodsham on here by many Saints fans).

| I'm glad to hear he's bulking up. He's always been a lad with a big frame but he's looked a bit gangly for a prop when I've seen him. With a bit more timber on the frame we should get an idea of what he is really capable of.
As the Offside Monkey has stated, a season on a dual contract would do him the world of good.

I'm sure he'll make a better door than a window.
While we're on the topic of young forwards, I watched back one of the warrington games (away) from this year and Paul Clough showed more than one absolutely lovely bits of ball handling. It came up a couple of other times in the season (inside ball for Wello's try against Cas, for example).
This was rumoured to be one of his strengths when he was a reserve player, its nice to see them coming to the fore.
