Just confused as to why we recall Smith and not have him in the team, but then will play Moore in the halves... Why recall him to not play him?

He's another option, thats why we have recalled him. He's there if we need him, and who knows he may yet play, but i think it depends on Lomax's injury.

No. I agree with you. We shouldn't be playing a hooker who isn't a very good halfback (although a good support player) with a halfback who has only played two or three games at first grade in that position when we have a more experienced halfback available to team up with the other halfback. I think Smith and Lomax would complement each other: Smith the organiser with a great kicking game if on form and Lomax with the flash and dancing feet.
However, I wouldn't like to see Moore dropped. He is excellent in defence. We need whatever help we can get with defence as it isn't our strongest point! We particularly need help in the middle where we have been most vulnerable since Pryce was injured. |
