Don't get the "Saints RL" tag though as being relevant. If there had have been a connection then a simple Saints Rugby would have bee more appropriate? |

| It's our stadium, so we would be generating plenty of profit from it. It would be a fantastic move, but would seem a bit unlikely.
It would especially good if we could name the stadium 'The St Helens Rugby League Stadium - home of a team which plays the world's greatest game - Rugby League' (or words to that effect  ) just to hear them on Sky Sports News.
'Now to the St Helens Rugby League Stadium to check on proceedings in the Sale Sharks vs Leicester Tigers game.....'
All rather unlikely, but whilst we're talking best case scenario  |

The RU premiership insists on primacy of tenure, so if Saints were to share with Sale at the new stadium, then Sale would get first choice of when to play matches.
I personally cant see this working, as i dont think there is the interest in Union in St.Helens.
The current Sale sharks location is ideal in that its close to the affluent Cheshire stockbroker belt.
I also think Salfords new stadium location would be more appropriate as this would only be a few junctions from affluent Altrincham.
