Had a great day with my better half.
Left at 10:30 a.m. and spent a few hours in York where we had lunch. Then onto Beverley, lovely place.

Arrived in Hull at around 6 p.m. and had a beer.
Great display from our mob (how did Saints do there?) I always thought that Sam Tomkins may make a decent player.
Arrived back at midnight and just watched the Sky + with a couple of whiskeys.

I hope that's o.k with you guys.
On the U18 game I'm not sure why Wigan couldn't raise a team but here's an educated guess. Ten of them played in the U20 on Wednesday, and I think there is a rule whereby they can't play twice within five days, so that maybe the reason.

If I remember rightly Wigan did the exact same thing to us last year. I remember a game having to be rearranged because they said they had an injury crisis. The games are normally played on a weekend so I would imagine the under 20's game they played in on Wednesday was a rearranged fixture. The good news is that Wigan lost that game on Wednesday.

Oh I forgot, the Wigan U20's also have a game today which takes precedence.

But if they all played on Wednesday and there's this 5 day rule how can they play today?

Because it suits them. They want the best of both worlds!

At Under 18 level.

But stupidly the rules allow them to play at first team and U18/U20 on the same weekend.

We won both Under 18s games last season.

Ah, I see. I presume that excuse would have been acceptable if Saints had been unable to field a team?

Poor show from Wigan if they can't field two junior teams on the same day.

It is not as though their First team is full of Under 20s

They should know the rules they are operating under
