Cunningham is a perfect example of how stats don't tell the full story of a players abilities and influences on their sides.
His aren't that impressive this year yet when you watch him play for Saints you see the lift he gives all the rest of the side when he's on the field. I really notice it when he comes back on for his 2nd spell after being subbed especially if Saints are struggling. In the semi against Huddersfield he was awesome i thought when he came back on with you 22-8(something like that) down. He lifted the side and took the battle to Huddersfield on his own at times. His will to win and determination are as huge as ever and he looks to me to have at least another year in him.
Saints would be mad imo to let him go(if they have the choice) especially given the side has and is losing a couple of experienced heads.

Good post. I could understand if he gave it up if we won SL this year, but if not he's definitely got another year in him. Eastmond, Moore and Roby are all versatile enough to play in other positions for another season. |
