The Big Red Machine racked up 196m in that game which was by far the highest of any other forward on the day. In addition he made 22 tackles. Of course "he isn't back to his best" but who is?

The lad is a quality player no doubt about it, his engine is immense and the reason he is such a good player. Making him play less minutes will benefit him later on in his career but he obviously won't provide the go forward he does now. If he continues to play 80 minutes he won't be half the player he is now in 5 years

Whilst those stats are good, he is playing far too long IMO. His stats will always be better as he plays longer than other props. If you were able to spell him, you would probably get more metres and tackles from the two players combined, as they would both be fresher.

At the moment he is doing what he has to for the team, but for England's sake, I hope Saints look after him, and don;t let him go the way of Fielden.

My thoughts exactly, has the hallmarks uf Feilden's career. It is easy to forget, that he may still be physically maturing.

Jammer has the potential to be an all-time great . I haven't seen an English prop like him since Lee Crooks .

Saints should give him lots of rest during the regular season , to ensure that (a) he's fresh for the play-offs and (b) has a long career .

Saints need to watch how they handle jammer because if we continue to use him how we are we will have a fielden on are hands.

A new prop is a must for next year!

I think we need one sooner - can't see Cayless giving us much if anything this season!

I wish we could get some cover in - there are plenty of half decent props in the lower leagues looking for a shot get one on loan!

It's the coaches job, just as Noble should have told Fielden.

In fact I'd be pointing to Fielden and asking if he wants to be like that in a few years time.

That might be the way to go, but until we get another (fit) big prop we are pretty much stuck.
