| Quote: Judder Man "I think the problem is if KC wants to play Turner at loose forward were do we play Wilkin, he lost (Wilkin) 5 kilo to allow him to play half back and is not big enough for second row these days and makes our pack too light.'"
Indeed. It's tricky. Another point is that I think one of the main reasons he brought Turner into the middle was that we desperately needed pace in the pivot positions. Now that we have Fages on board there's less need for that (assuming Fages gets a spot in the halves and not as a rotation 9). I suppose one way around it would be to spell Wilkin and Turner at 13, so that they're not on the pitch at the same time. Then you'd have the added bonus of having a forward on the bench who can cover across the backline and in the halves. But if that's to work Turner will need a serious off season to get him accustomed to regular game time defending in the middle. For me something like the following [icould [/iwork (although 1: I'm not so confident about Peyroux at centre, and 2: there are so many unknowns it's basically a guessing game):
1. Lomax/SMD/Owens
2. Makinson
3. Percival
4. Peyroux
5. Swift
6. Fages
7. Walsh
8. Amor
9. Roby
10. Walmsley
11. Vea
12. Greenwood/LMS
13. Wilkin
14. Burns (to spell at 9)
15. Turner (to spell at 13 and/or cover the backs)
16. Savelio/Thompson/Richards
17. Tasi

| This boy looks awful on the kit reveal pics. He needs to lose at least a stone from that belly. He's a similar shape to Justin Carney currently.

I do. It's the inevitable consequence of people opting out of adulthood.

| Turner finished at 6 not 13.
Can't see Turner playing 13 with Wilkin in the side. Wasn't Wilkin injured when Turner played 13?
I'd have Turner back at centre. He was our most potent threat out wide, rarely gets injured and was more exposed when makinson was injured.
He can leave gaps in defence but so do other centres.
Look at the England squad to see how thin the game is for top quality centres.

| I'm done with saddened after that latest comment. The lad is 21 years old signing for a new club. I can't believe some of the personal attacks on the lad. Disgusting. You have been blocked from my feeds so don't reply.

You're so funny. Personal attacks? This site would resemble braille if you really did that. If I didn't post, the world would probably stop spinning and fall off it's axis. And you'd still think Saints were going to win the League.

It does beg the important question - [iprecisely what part of your "support" for the club are you fulfilling attacking players who haven't even had a chance to prove their worth in a single game?[/i
The idea that you can judge a player's absolute worth purely on the strength of his performances for other clubs doesn't cut any ice with me since I can point to a plethora of individuals who turned their careers about only after they moved clubs.
I remember many serious suggestions that Kevin Ward was "finished" when he left Cas for us. Kevin Iro's form had been sketchy for two or three years before he came. Sean Long was a washed up ex-Wigan reject. I can point to dozens at other clubs.

| Oh Dear.
I think people are struggling a little spotting the difference
between the pointed criticism as opposed to some of the
parody/wit.
Saddo is a bit of a Frankie Boyle.
Quite amusing to see some of the outrage and
the sound of toys being launched from prams.

| I've had the sad one on ignore for a year now.
People claim that he's just amusing, but actually I've never seen him be positive about Saints at all. If Rogues was saying this stuff there would be calls for the mods to ban him.
Actually I've seen more supportive comments from Rogues about Saints, than I have from the Sad one.
I only get to see his nonsense now when he is quoted, but he is true to form from what I have seen.

That's just a lie. Half of the Saints fans on this forum quote me in their signatures. I even praised Wello twice over two seasons (Leeds win with the kids and after the GF), so not true to say I never say anything positive.
Saints fans have gone soft. I can remember when the Blobby and his mates stormed the Director's box at Knowsley Road in a bid to overthrow McManus. We used to create an electric atmosphere and inspire the team, now it's like a morgue. We used to kick off at the slightest thing and protest, try to force changes through. Now we might as well put seats in behind the stands as there is no atmosphere in the ground. Off the field we're happy (KC confirmed it this week) to be the 4th best side in Super League. There is only really now my pressure fighting against the apathy, a lone beacon in the darkness of averageness.
If we finish outside the 4 next season a lot of you will jump on the bandwagon and claim you were always in my crew. It'll be KC that gets the blame at that stage and not McManus and Rush and I'm not sure how fair that is or isn't as we never learn who is in control at Saints. Who exactly is buying these players? We used to sign stars to add to our stars and we used to pile up trophies or die trying. Now we sign players relegation candidates don't want and fill the squad with utility players, to ensure an inevitable mediocrity. Perhaps it's a mirror of modern sport in general that long-term 'okay' is lower risk than trying to win, then suffering when you need to rebuild. But am I really the only Saints fan that is slightly miffed about the club being okay with 4th and no trophies?

The idea that people take some kind of perverse satisfaction from finishing fourth is a false dichotomy and ridiculous. Just because people aren't throwing a tantrum every time Saints lose a game it doesn't mean they are somehow in favour of mediocrity.
This notion that if only people cared as much as you everything would be fine is a classic case of delusional thinking which says more about your inability to deal with complexity than anything else.
I once thought you'd grow out of this nonsense but if anything you seem to be getting worse. Half the time it's like watching the Reverend Jim Jones during the last days of the People's Temple in Guyana.

I'm just shocked that anybody pays attention to the deluded idiot any more. I don't believe he is a Saints fan at all but some Warrington schoolchild with nothing better to do!
