| Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "In the context of a post on a forum? Well, it would need length, for a start. Each letter occupies some.
But there's your one dimension used up. In terms of height, my word processing software only goes down to 1 pt and that's hard to see. But that still does have that second dimension. With a magnifying glass, perhaps. But the software doesn't have a zero pt. If it did, that I imagine it would be tough to read
Quite boring now

At the end of the day, it wasnt a good drop goal because it wasnt awarded...in order for the drop goal to be good, the referee has to put his hand up in the air and not wave it away (see Bentham's reaction to Walsh's effort for clarification)
It is getting a bit tedious now, but if you want to continue on your one man crusade to prove it was a drop goal (that will change absolutely sweet FA in terms of the result) then feel free to continue...although if I am correct in assuming you are a Bradford fan I would maybe be more concerned about the future of my club and if they will still exist beyond this year rather than getting my knickers in a twist over a drop goal that went wide

Thanks. We didn't know, and nobody had made that banal point before, as if it were a novel insight. No, really they haven't.

I wasn't going to bother with you, but clearly need to repeat that I DON'T CARE if it was a DG or not, nor am I on any "crusade", nor would i have the slightest problem if someone proved it was. It's a technical discussion and as I have already said I am perfectly amenable to reasoned debate about any of the points arising. The mods seem happy to let people like you attempt to mod the threads and have a go at me, and that is their choice, so I choose to respond to correct the erroneous stuff aimed personally at me. I'd prefer not to have to but that's how it is.

I do not need your permission.

I can multitask.

| The more I've watched it, the more I believe the camera shot from behind the sticks Brough is kicking toward is an optical illusion, caused by 1) Brough being outside the line of the posts when he kicks it; 2) the camera being halfway between the posts and zoomed in toward the ball, amplifying the illusion

| Brough should get 2-3 for that. Kicked then punched, no idea why Whiting was binned.

If brough is deemed to have deliberately kicked whiting (which I believe he did) and makes full, aggressive contact (more debatable, the contact was certainly there, but i don't know, it's hard to argue it's not aggressive but it's not a proper kick) then he's facing the same grading as Ferres did (E-F) - I'd expect B-D (light contact, more likely C-D given the striking after and it was pretty clear cut) even if he's not called out for that, the fouls and abusive language after the Ellis rip should see him up before the beak.
Grix on a striking charge - if it's considered sustained (which given multiple were thrown (6 according to vt) seems likely) carries C-D
Crabtree on a dangerous throw - Cumberland throws aren't graded (merely given A-F) they're not particularly dangerous or fashionable any more, but still outlawed (was a great judo throw though! There was definite use of the leg and sweep through to take talona(sp) off balance for me) and I'd say A-B
Probably a few more incidents, as it was a very scrappy game, and Huddersfield were amazingly ill disciplined.
These are the last things you need going into Easter! Wonder if it's more biased rfl out to knock them down ...

40218_1286737075.jpg Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill):d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40218.jpg |

| I think the reactions of both Anderson and the Huddersfield club to the drop goal fiasco on Sunday have not served the team well at all. They all felt hard done to and got all steamed up about the ref's decision. All that has served to do is get certain members of the team irate, causing serious ill discipline and any hope of a win last night to fly away over the Humber bridge. I thought it was a shame to see the team which performed so well last season morph into what was on TV last night. That transformation appears to have been led by Danny Brough.

Bad ill-tempered play is just as infectious as good play is in a team’s performance as we all know, and the fact is that despite all Danny Brough’s abilities his rants and dummy spiting IMO will always stop him from being the complete package.
