God has a capital 'g' at the beginning and you have forgotten the apostrophe in 'daughter'. Hopefully your daughter will not follow her parent's example.

| Quote: SaintsFan "You made an assumption about why I asked the question in the first place. I'm not interested in your analysis. I never was. I asked a genuine question as to who leads the defensive slide. When I was taking my coaching badge (in 2009) I was taught that it was the edge players who 'pulled' the players across with them, rather than players being 'pushed' across. Therefore, I have always interpreted the movement of the slide as if being pulled by the edge player.'"
Interesting, but even if the communication were to come from outside, it doesn't change the fact that Meli and Jones were out numbered 3 to 2 and took the best decision possible. I'm not suprised that you're not interested in my long winded explanation, as it clearly dismisses your implication that it was Francis Meli at fault.
I liked Jones from what I saw, he had some nice moments with ball in hand against a very physical side. Its also nice that he looks like a decent size for an 18(?) year old, with the new generation of backs like Atkins, Watkins and Hall being that bit bigger.
Can anyone who've seen him play in the juniors give us an insight into his playing style? Of the young centre's outside the first team, its Percival who's name I would recall first, but I think he's a step younger.
I wonder how much we'll see of Jones through the season. Wheeler's been going well, injury wise, so maybe his jinx has lifted.

| Look people: Meli made lots of defensive howlers 3/4 years ago and so every try conceded ever since then is automatically his fault, OK? Our agenda'ed opinions were all formed irrevocably years ago about him, and inconvenient facts about his consistent top perfomances for nearly the whole of the last 3 years will not be allowed to get in the way of them. The try was all his fault. Story. End of. Just deal with it and move on...

| Quite a high chance josh will play on Friday instead of Wheeler due to injury. Not 100% sure yet but I'll tell you more if I get told anything

Nothing like being thrown in at the deep end. Wire then Wigan. The reserves are going to seem very pedestrian all of a sudden.

Indeed there are. SaintsFan's attempt at the floccinausinihilipilification of other posters because of their spelling, grammar or punctuation has given me a great deal to smile about. But, for god's sake, this is an RL internet forum, not the London Review of Books or the Times Literary Supplement. In any case, if her English Lit degree was a decent one she'd know that god does not always have an upper case G, either now or in the past. It's a convention, adopted by some, but not all, Christian writers in the 17th and 18th centuries; medieval and early modern writers regularly used a lower case g (or d if writing in Latin); and such practice is relatively common for contemporary writers of both fiction and non-fiction, christian and non christian (and the same applies to christ and Christian).
Many thanks to Offside Monkey for his clear explanation of the try that Meli did not let in; as someone who never had the privilege of playing league (union I'm afraid, but I've been rescued), it's great to learn from someone who knows that my own untutored interpretation of that play is supported by a chap (or woman) who knows the game as a player.

Nothing to do with that so stop being childish. I didn't ask for it. I was asking for an explanation of the play. I was provided with it. End of story.

Never mind 3/4 years ago. He did it in the last Grand Final and for that I will never forgive him. He can't go soon enough for me. Makinson is already twice the winger that Meli will ever be.

I couldn't care less what a bunch of keyboard warriors think. That doesn't change the fact that some of the stuff you write is extremely childish.
