I think we'll sell a lot of the terracing STs.'"
I hope you are right, I'm actually one myself, 3 of us opted for the 5 year standing ticket as I wanted to make sure I secured our spots on the terracing with it being small numbers in proportion to KR. Plenty chose the standing end at Widnes and if everyone there had renewed that would be around 50% of the standing tickets but just how many of these have stayed standing or opted for the North/South is hard to tell.
I would hope we'd sell [iat least[/i 75-80% of standing tickets but it is impossible to gauge how well they are going without word from the club but at the moment you can get 10 in each category on the shop at the same time which is equivalent to 250 people.

| I think it's time for an update from the club. Doesn't have to be a proper announcement, the marketing manager could just let us know on here.

I agree, I would have thought that the standing die hards would have snapped them all up.
I am a little disappointing that the club has not come up with some scare mongering press releases about tickets going fast (regardless of truth). Something like "Places in limited supply*, heading towards a season ticket sell out** in the West and North Stands". At the very least there should be some milestone press releases.
* True as the stadium has a limited capacity
** True because season ticket sales are going up not down (It's called marketing not lying).

True. Makes you wonder if the club even has a marketing department. You shouldn't be able to move in the town centre for hot chics trying to flog you a season ticket.
It would have been something Paul Wellens could have done to justify his salary. Get him out knocking on doors getting season tickets sold.
10,000 should have been the target.

Makes you laugh doesn't it. All those people who campaigned so bitterly for standing sections in the new ground get their way then choose to sit on a seat anyway.

I campaigned for a standing section but at the time it was for another pop side, not a pop behind the sticks! I would imagine its the view that has undermined any terrace sales rather than the existence of terracing. But although I prefer a side on view, I prefer standing so that I can jump around and stuff so I've forfeited the view for the freedom. Others may have chosen differently.

I'm sure a lot of the walk up support will go on the terracing as it will be cheaper on the day than sitting?

| I can understand the club not publishing anything on numbers. Lets say the 4-5k are all that has been sold. This would not create much of a buzz.
Also if Large numbers have been sold closer to 8k, thats hardly enough to say you are going to miss out There are 14k home tickets.
I'd imagine if the terracing was close to 75% sold out, then the club would then put up the warning signs that if you want to get the cheapest spot then the likely hood is you can't walk up on the day.
But until that point it's more a question of do you push now, or wait for christmas when people are more likely to splash the cash on themselves and others.
It would be tricky for most people to ask for a season ticket for Christmas but if teenagers got £50 - £100 of various auntes and uncles they maybe more likely to consider it.
I'm going to be a walk up as ever game for me is an away game. But were I go will be a bit of an unknown as the rest of my family will be in the allocated section. So it might be unallocated seating as close to their section as I can sit.
Either that or find a noisy section and go there.

Do you travel over to every home match? If you do, you can still get a season ticket you know. It works out cheaper and if you get it on direct debit you hardly feel the cost at all. Plus you get any benefits that go with it, like an invitation to a walk around the new stadium before the general rabble!

| No I cant get to every home match. Last year I did more away matches than home matches. I should be able to make a few more this year but I would doubt it will top more than two thirds.

| Quote: Chris Saint "Tricky to estimate as seating configuration has changed a little, but off the plans at the council
North Allocated 2600/2787
North Unallocated ??/1848
South Allocated 1338/1924
South Unallocated ??/818
South Family Stands ??/834
South Corporate 800?/1426 (seems a lot but based on planned capacity less everything else)
South Boxes 360/360 (according to reports)
West Terracing ??/3800
West Seating ??/62
Wheelchairs ??/121
If we manage to sell 50% of the unkowns that would be 8,800, I'd certainly hope we'd exceed that in the terracing and be pushing 10,000 in time for February but it requires stay aways from KR taking the plunge and committing.
As for averages, at KR we had around 6,000 season tickets and averaged 11,000 in 2009, if we have 9,000 ST's at the new gaff and some increased away support then 13,000 should be easily achievable.'"
I'm assuming the corporate section includes all the unavailable seats in the south stand currently crossed out.
If the corporate did not sell out, does anyone know if these would become general sale south stand seats at south stand prices. Or would they not be able to sell them in case the pretend posh mix with the real posh.

I would hope that by the time the season starts the home standing area would be sold out to season ticket holders. If that does happen it would be interesting to see what they would do with the East stand, I expect tickets will be made available to home fans for the likes of Catalans and London.
I would have had the away end half stand and half seated to give the club more options when it comes to selling to away fans i.e. Larger clubs could have all the standing, smaller could have a block of seats.
It is good for the club to build up a culture of ticket buying. Having a standing side allows people to walk up and shove their way to the half way line. If you have to buy your ticket in advance to get a good view that helps the club guarentee income and protects the from low attendances if the weather is poor.

The highlighted bit is another reason why its better to have your terracing behind the sticks, as it doesnt then matter if you are smack in the middle of the posts are to the left or right. You still get pretty much the same view.
