Back on topic again -- I was just reading in today's league weekly that Wakefield are hoping to get news this week about the visa for Frank Winterstein who they signed last month. It says the deadline for responding to applications is due to pass on Tuesday. It also says the 28 day time frame form replies is one the visa authorities put on themselves.

Now I know that there has been a back-log of application replies - but do you think it is quite possible that we might hear something this week about Meli.

Because he is an international, state of origin class winger.

I don't understand why a player waiting for a VISA couldn't come over on holiday? It's not like someone couldn't travel from NZ to England for a month is it?

The official line is he is training in NZ (Potter hopes) waiting for his Visa/clearance to resume his Saints career.

If i was him and wanted to come back, i'd have my agent raising hell in the media about the situation and show videos of me training etc. to show my comittment to the team
