Just heard from a separate source that it's true.
I know he divides opinion as a player, but that's an absolutely horrific injury, and one he will do well to recover from.
I would just like to wish him all the best, and a speedy recovery.

Initial diagnosis on Perry is a grade 3 pectoral tear. If it's as bad as first feared will require surgery and a rehabilitation period between 5 and 9 months, dependent on severity, until full functionality.
Hopefully it's not as bad as the initial look because this will end his career if it is, never good to see a player go out that way.
