| I'm still not hugely convinced with Foster, like ade but with a kick, which makes him way ahead of Ade. Makinson is faster and like last night seems to have a bit more skill. He also is a very good kicker. God knows how Ade will get back into this team

If Shenton doesnt make the beginning of the season and Makinson fills in at centre is the only way Ade [ishould[/i get back in. Still for me it waste of cap space, I'd rather have Nathan Ashe get a few games under his belt than persist with Ade. Dont get me wrong , I went to an Ade testimonial forum and he comes across as a nice bloke and a very good pro but as a player for me he's just taking a space a young lad could be fighting for.

| He's still a young kid, with a lot of development in him, I like his attitude and temperament...................to score 300 points this season which is almost 40% of the teams points is quite good for a rookie don't you think.

The one where he put it around his back before putting it down? I didn't think that there was much need to do that to be perfectly honest.

Except he caught it behind him, so had to?
It wasn't a 'showboat', it was a great piece of skill and awareness of his position which was the difference between a try and no-try.
People bag Foster for being nowt but a kicker, and bag Meli for being an awful centre.
Baffling, then, that Foster would score so many tries, or be handed so many 'walk-in' tries, on what must be the weakest flank Saints have ever had?!?

| I think Foster will prove a lot of people wrong over his career at Saints. I have high hopes for him and Makinson.

Agree completely. Both extremely young, with all the raw materials - just needs a top coach to help them fulfil the potential.

I could be wrong about it then, at the time I just thought that he was "showboating". I do hope that Foster and Makinson meet their potential because it can only be good for England RL in the future.

| I think Foster has bags of potential, not least because of the fantastic temperament he seems to have. He is often not spectacular in attack, but he can beat a man, finishes well and holds his touchline well.
Comparisons with Gardner are, in my opinion, a bit tough on him.
And what a kicker. Young lad, from halfway in terrible conditions in a finely poised Grand Final. Tricky kick to say the least, but he made it look like he nails long range penalties in the rain in front of 70k people every day before breakfast.
However talented you are, you don't do that without an ice-cool personality and being obsessive about practice. Those things will take him a long way.

| Nah. He isn't as good as Josh Charnley is he. Why would Wigan want such an average player?
