| Quote Rogues Gallery="Rogues Gallery"Absolute garbage (as usual)
The score flattered Saints. Wigan had two tries disallowed and missed three kicks.'"
I'm biting here, probably because I've had a few drinks. But why don't you just go away with your smug nonsense, especially considering that I could bring up several of your nervous and obsessed posts in the few days prior to the game?
Feel lucky that you haven't been banned like you would have with the same posts (Saints fan) had been on Cherry and White, and celebrate your victory without being the clown that you are on here. Enjoy.

| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"It's silly season again. When Bradford won, they'd dominate for decade, then Saints would. When Leeds won no one could ever see them losing again, never mind not winning SL.
The salary cap means no one will 'dominate' for more than a 5 year period. Wigan's coach has brought that success this season, his techniques and their style of play will now become the norm.
They only beat us by 12 tonight and we were missing both our halfbacks. It's not like we lost by 60 tonight.'"
Be careful Saddo your getting positive there

| They blew us off the park in those opening twenty-five minutes and we didn't recover from that. Potter's post-match comments pretty much summed up the match for us.
"We burned a lot of energy in the first 20 minutes. I wouldn't say it was won or lost then but it certainly contributed. It's hard to pull back a hefty score and against a quality team it makes it double hard.
[i"Even though we did make some breaks, we probably forced a couple of balls and made some uncharacteristic errors. I thought up until 10 minutes from the end we were still in the game. We just needed something to go our way and it didn't happen tonight but I don't want to take anything away from how well Wigan performed."[/i
They will be a formidable outfit next year with Hoffman and Finch in their line up but after that it will be dependent upon who they have following Maguire. NRL clubs are going to be sniffing around him after next year so maybe Shaun Wane will get the job and he is British which means it will probably be a dip in quality for them at some point during his tenure i.e. when the game goes beyond what Maguire taught him.

Well said, Potter's comments are spot on really.

If Wane does take over in a couple of years as you would expect, what would be stopping Wane from going along with the evolution of the sport? You say it like he can't think for himself.
I know it's not the same level but his reserves team were far more dominant than this first team before he probably ever spoke to Maguire.
Wane is a great coach himself. Maguire often states how big an influence people like him and Mark Bitcon have had. Bitcon is the reason the team has been in such good state all year and Wane is the reason our forwards don't look like powerpuff girls anymore.

I think basically what he means is the game evolves in Aus and we follow suit (normally a few years behind). Occasionally a team (Wigan in this case) get a forward thinking/on the ball Aussie coach over who jumps an English team a couple of years ahead of the rest.

He must have been the only one! How many times have we scored three tries in the last 10 minutes lately? We managed two against Cas, but that's it. The guy is deluded.

Tackling, holding on to the ball, catching, kicking, kick chase, not giving away penalties, players in their correct positions ... yep. We needed something to go our way!
