I thought there were two other wrongly awarded tries aside from the last Leeds one. One of those was given straight away if I remember correctly.

good effort from all the lads last night and well played leeds. am i the only saints fan who thinks we would have won the game last night if ady gardner wasn't playing. 2high kicks to gardners wing and 2tries for leeds. its the same every week. i wouldn't mind if ady knocked the ball into touch or gave a penalty away, but to just get beaten to the ball time and time again isn't good enough. we only held on against wigan coz jamie foster made a good take late on. lomax and foster would be in every week for me im sick of watch adys poor efforts under the high ball week in week out.

We would have won the game had we not made a forward pass for the try we scored that was subsequently disallowed or had Paul Wellens not dropped the ball with the tryline begging or had Leon not gone off injured or ...

However, we didn't win the game. End of story, really.

I don't think it was a knock on but thought it was obstruction without a shadow of doubt.

Can the video ref only check what the ref asks him to look at?

Even though we lost I think it was great effort by saints with all the injuries and losing dixon, eastmond and pryce during the game.

We was in control just after halftime and if pryce stayed on pitch I think we'd have won the game.

How many times do we lose to leeds from kicks! The sooner we get shut of our dodgy wingers the better.

I'm not keen of defending inept wing play but in this instance I think you may be being a little harsh on Gardner. It was good play by Donald to knock the ball back (he had no itention of going for the catch) and if anything Flannery should not have been sucked into the play ball watching.

But also, Gardner should have realised that Leeds were doing what they were doing and if he couldn't catch it he should have at least batted it into touch. A good player anticipates what the opposition is planning. Gardner just got sucked in and made a hash of it twice. Once is forgivable; twice is definitely not. He was awful and there was no two ways about that.

TBH I'm not big fan of either of our first choice wingers but we are where we are - I honestly dont think it helps when we dont seem to have settled centre wing partnerships but last night wasnt one of his better games.

Sadly the last really 'good' winger we had was Darren Albert and we replaced him with a lazy second row with chip pan grease on his hands and a wooden back but hey thats Saints recruitment policy in the lat few years

obstruction don't talk rubbish senior did nothing wrong he stood his ground which your allowed to do and lomax pulled him down trying to make it look like obstruction.your all moaning about injuries but when we have them u say we are making excuses i think you forgotten we have 7 players missing that was not our strongest team either.you better start making some new excuses for when where both full strength for the semi final

To be honest mate I think Gardner was at fault, he should be taking them kicks.

I do however think we should have been up quicker on sinfield but everyone stood and watched him. Wilkin if playing would have put pressure on the Leeds kicker.

From a Leeds perspective I thought your bench really did hold up pretty well considering it was pretty lightweight in the "names" department and you should take a lot of credit for the way you played once Eastmond and Pryce had been crocked.

I am pretty sure once both squads are bolstered by a few returns from injury the semi final will be a totally differend game..........though am sure it will be just as close.
