Foster may have kicked 8 goals, but his highlight today for me was unearthing McGuire's petulance.

| I was in Jamie Foster's mum's class at primary school thirty odd years ago. His mum is a twin and both her and her sister were tall, amazonian type girls. They were tough as well and were able to handle themselves with girls and all but the tough boys lol.
Once we had to do country dancing in the assembly hall. I ended up with one of the twins. We were dancing and going around in a circle, as a group, and she was so much bigger than me that I ended up whizzing off the end as we were going around. I slid about 5m from the force of the dance spin lol. In keeping with a perspective akin to a Leeds fan, it wasn't the force of the sister but a slippy floor which caused me to lose my footing.
Anyway I was just mentioning this because Foster may yet start to fill out if he's got his mum's genes.

| On at least three occacsions he was in at acting half back and he did not wait for the Leeds tacklers to clear out of the ruck - he just pushed them off and enabled the saints player to get up and play the ball.
On one occasion about half way through the first half - he did this and made a fair amount of ground shaking off at least three would be tackler in the process.
Considering that we did not have bags of experience in the three quarters I think that he had a really promising game.
On a number of occasions in the past we have had to battle all the harder because we did not have a dependable goal kicker. Now we have one who almost guarantees us 2 extra points which gives the team a good psychological boost as we as adding to the score.
I trust we shall see more of him during the season.
Ch.

I hope the RFL actually do something about that because to lob a ball in a player's face just because he was pushed towards the touchline - or indeed for any reason - is clearly out of order and in breach of the rules. I doubt the RFL will do anything about it but they really should.
It showed him up to be nothing but a spoiled child. To do that to any player is bad enough but to do it to one of the youngest on the pitch and the least experienced is pathetic in the extreme.
I thought Foster played his heart out yesterday and pulled off some great moves. I hope we see more of him over the course of the season.

I can just picture that now - the vision that springs to mind of the Legendary "McClennan" gliding across the floor.

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
