If Sam goes anywere, it will be the NRL in about 3/4 years. He has no interest in playing union. |

I'm not to sure about Sam Tomkins going union or the nrl as he looks to me he'll play all his rugby at Wigan.
The Wigan fans keep saying we are losing our best player next year in James Graham, that might be true but they are losing the best thing that's happened to Wigan in 15 years and that maguire. How they cope without him will be very interesting to see. Don't forget this is more or less the same team that struggled to make the play offs under noble which shows what acmassive impact maguire has had on Wigan!

I'm not going to go into details but let's say I've been in the company of wane a number of times over the years and IMO he's not the greatest with thinking about the game. He's all the passion in the world for Wigan and no doubt will motivate players but I think he'll fall short and maguire is a hard act to follow.
He's a great guy.
He'll come out with all his comments that all lies fall for like " we will do it the Wigan way" but give it 5 games into 2012 and you lot will be calling for his head " the Wigan way" |

As a RL fan, I hope he does stick to the 13 man code. I am no way a fan of his but no denying the guy is quality and players like him need to be kept in the better code rather than defecting to Yawnion! As for if Sam turns down the NRL to stay with Wigan, I wonder if eh will have "bottled it" or "knows he isnt good enough down under" like Roby was accused of last year??  |
