To be fair, I don't think it was ever in the Cunningham game plan for the Saints players to apply WD40 to their hands before kick off

After the Cas loss he said we lost the game in the warm up and tonight we started poor. Could it be he's struggling to get his team up for it ?

I'll probably get pilloried and again accused of it being 'personal' with KC (despite not knowing the man from Adam so not sure how that works) but after watching that I hope the penny's beginning to drop with Saints fans.
KC is never ever ever ever ever a coach worthy of this job as amply demonstrated AGAIN this evening (just to remove any suggestion of knee jerk). I said it when he was appointed and the steady degradation of performances has done nothing to change my mind. That's how we perform against the best team in the comp.
This Club needs, and deserves, an experienced and quality coach. He is not one.
And while I am at it what the bloody hell was Percy playing at tonight?
I'm off to bed for a sulk.

| That defeat has been coming, we have been poor since the Wigan game and were lucky last week.
However, lets not get our knickers in a twist, we dropped a ridiculous amount of ball in that first half and gifted Leeds a lot. They had free reign to throw it around which to a certain degree they do anyway, we just need to book up our ball handling and defence out wide and that game becomes competitive.
On another note, I knew we would miss Tommy but we now realise how important a player he is to us. He offers everything that Dawson doesn't, and would be safe as houses at full back in McDonnell's absence.

Perhaps, the Saints' forwards get a lot of hype on this board but, the 2 occasions they've played Leeds the props in particular have looked powder puff.

When the team has so many dropped balls and missed tackles you don,t really give yourself a chance to play to a game plan, 99% of this loss is down to the players and not KC coaching. The players owe the fans and coach a big one next week.

Keep believing that tripe. They owed us one after Cas - do you see things improving?
Belief is admirable.
Myopia is regrettable.

LFC Saint jinxed them back in Feb...

Last time I post that, I promise

| As a fan from a rival club I am really suprised that KC is getting stick from some quarters.
Tonight was not a Saints performance.
The first 10 minutes it was a drop-a-thon. That's not something any coach would expect. Whether it's due to the players not getting their 'match heads' on or not, I'm not sure. Now that could be a coaching / management issue.
I rate KC, and actually after years of 'antics' Long seems to have settled down.
Things can turn around quickly.
This year has seen all sides have wobbles due to the nature of the comp.
I actually think there's 2 ways to look at this match.
1. Study in detail and show each player their pluses and minuses
or
2. Put it down to 'one of those things' and move on.
Both approaches have their merits - if you're not careful the negatives can become quite corrosive. That's the danger of 1.
In his time at Warrington, I believe Smith has used both approaches - albeit the 2nd one sparingly. I also think McDermott has done the same at Leeds.
Regarding the Cas match- it was nip and tuck and you have to credit Cas. I think they're starting to come into some really good form. (Hopefully Carney's defence doesn't mprove much !!).
To be honest we need a few of the top sides to slip up - it might allow us to stay in the top8 and sneak into the top 4 !
For the CC I think it'll be a fresh start and very close. This match will count for nothing - I still think you're more than capable of beating Leeds

| It's a bit bit like stone, paper scissors and pie. We've had Leeds, Leeds have had Saints, Pies have had Leeds and you guys have had us. I only got back for the second half and was really surprised at the lead Leeds had. For me, their backs are the best in the league and with additions of Cuthbertson and Garbutt on his debut, they were able to match the size in your pack. I'm sure KC will sort it out. For a debut season, he's been pretty good and he always comes across as a descent genuine bloke. Walmsley a one man pack- outstanding player.

| Matt Dawson is the worst player i have ever seen playing for Saints. Forget the 10 mistakes a game he makes with ball in hand. He clearly cannot master whether to come in or stay out. Like the fat kid at school who's fell in love with the class beauty. The lad will try but so out of his depth it's not actually fair on him.
