| Quote: thepriestman85 "If the ref didn't see it then it needs to be cited after the game and Lima should get banned as it’s a cheap tactic.
BUT i’ll say it again that we don’t want to go down the route with players trying to get others sent off. We will start to see players flashing imaginary cards around and it’s the start of all that BS we see every week in football.
That goes for incidents for every club including Wigan as we just don’t want to see it.'"
Totally agree, it's no shock that wilkin could kick start this sort off thing.

But, he isn't the one who as started it! As I said on another post we have seen numerous players, in the past go to the ref and accuse someone of biting them and the game stopped to put it on report! So, it's nothing new.

Like we both agreed on the other post, biting is a little different.
Wilkin should have spoke to the ref after the game. He didn't do that and made himself look like a silly little school boy or football player.
We don't want this sort of thing like in football!

| If the touch judges and refs kept their eyes open then players wouldn't have to report things to them! Yes it's a mans game but that doesn't mean it should be a dirty game.

If players went crying to the ref everytime he thought he'd been fouled then we wouldn't have a game.
The is a time and place to make a complaint if a player feels the need to report another player.

I didn't agree it was a little different. I agreed, if someone gets bitten then they are in their right to report it to the ref.
The same should then apply if someone tries a sly chicken wing, if not even more. I agree biting is the lowest of the low, but which is the more serious offence.... When did anyone miss a game because of being bitten, as opposed to a serious or even career threatening injury from an illegal wrestling technique on someones joint.

At the end of the day mate, it wasn't a chicken wing. The was nothing wrong with it at all.
And when Lima has no case to answer will make wilkin look more foolish.

I don't know if it was or not. The disciplinary panel will sort it out one way or the other. If they decide it was it will just be warning letter anyway.

| Yes I seen it and I think in my opinion he was trying to manipulate is arm into a position to hurt him or force him down. Unfortunately I am not an expert in the world of wrestling techniques and so if that constitutes a chicken wing or not. I don't know. From what I believe the panel have an advisor on these sort of things. So they will probably know more than any of us on here.

A chicken wing tackle is a career-threatening tackle. Jon Wilkin was within his rights to report it. If he had not have been then the ref would have told him to shut up. If it turned out not to be a chicken wing but in the process of investigating the RFL discovered the chicken wing that did happen, and Lima gets a ban, that would be just great because a chicken wing tackle deserves a ban. It is a career-threatening tackle.

The whingeing little girl.
Im not going to comment on his accusation, due to it being very subjective, let the beak sort that one out
The ref had no decision but to put it on report as he had not seen anything.
He obviously had seen the tackle but thought it was fair, its not like it was an off the ball incident or behind his back.
This is not the kind of thing I want to see in RL. I want to keep RL a mans game and save playground antics like this and simulation for football.
Maybe a hefty penalty for the official compaliner is the accused is vindicated?'"
Wingeing Pie! talking about Wilkin Wingeing.
Obviously off next week on half term.
I thought Wilkin dealt with the chicken wing incident well and so did the referee.
