I'd rather play on the Saturday from a fan point of view TBH as you get to have a good day on the beer instead of needing to take Monday off or have a hangover.

RL has to exist with Football. Football is by a million miles the most popular sport in the country. Any place that has a football league team and a rugby team generally shares a stadium, the obvious exception being Leeds, which is of course a large city. It is just not economically viable to have separate stadia.

If St Helens already had a football league team you would share, and they would probably own it. You are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think otherwise.

Simple as, make them play somewhere else. The Yorkshire mob are moaning there will be no games over there. Quick response is they should have done better but this might be a solution for everyone.

They could play it at Saints.

Why would it matter to you (Saints) if you had to play Saturday? We afterall would be left with a damp squib of a friendly on the Sunday that nobody would bother about.

I'm loving the blow up on here about it. You all know its a nothing story but because we're playing Saturday it's being made out to be a big deal. I suppose you need to cling on to any small victory no matter how unimportant and meaningless they may be.

Because the RL calendar shouldn't revolve around when Wigan are allowed to play in their rented home? If you can't play at home when you're meant to, move the game.

As you we'll know there's no issue here. If you win all eyes will be on your showpiece game against Souths on the Saturday night and we'll play a nothing friendly on Sunday. If we win you play your friendly on Saturday and we play the main event Sunday.

No issue, no drama, awful attempt.
