I agree with most of what you say Offside Monkey. I think we should go back to basics with two HBs working together instead of all these pivots all over the shop. We clearly couldn't execute this sort of structure last night and it looked messy and was ineffectual.
Next week we need to go back to basics with the backs:
Lomax
Makinson
Percival
Turner
Meli
O'Brien
Wilkin
I still cannot believe how bad Hohaia was last night, worst performance I've ever seen from him (and that is saying something) he was absolutely terrible.

Spot on. Our expectations have lowered with our performances instead of driving our performances up by demanding the very best of the team we have at our disposal; something that Brown is definitely not achieving. While we are not world beaters these days we are better than the displays we are putting out and that disparity needs to be addressed immediately otherwise we are out of the eight.

What GOB showed is the ability to 'find the pass', his kicking game is better than he showed but seriously you can't expect him to do anything with a week under his belt.
He does what a good half back should always do, be prepared to get snotted by holding the ball to the very last Millisecond before releasing it, unfortunately last night he held on to it too long.

I don't think he had been asked to kick, to be honest. I doubt he could have been asked to do much really after only 3 days training with what is a somewhat chaotic outfit at the moment!

Saints made more metres in the first half due to Broughy kicking downfield regularly and Saints having a fair bit of open field to run it back before they hit the defensive line. Saints only looked better in the second half due to our change in tactics, probably we were conserving energy as we are on again on Friday against Hull.K.R. only a three day turnaround. |

Slow the play down !!! that is a joke. Saints players were falling asleep on the tackled player ( and no penalties from Silverfish forthcoming ). No our game this season is based on a quick play the ball, and Browny knows this, that`s why he adopted his old policy of laying on. |
