Is that true?
The ribbons are similar colours.
Plus the Premiership Trophy too, who has got the Charity Shield?
Don't know why these are not in the museum in Huddersfield though?
I was in the Central Park trophy room in 1996 after winning the Fantasy Rugby Competition in the Wigan Evening Post and there was a space where you could tell the Challenge Cup had been for the previous 8 years.

I'm not sure, I thought Wigan were the last winners in Dublin.
I would like to see the old Championship and Premiership trophy used for the League Leaders and Superleague Trophy (it's cr@p)

| We are drifting slightly off topic, but McMannus and Lenagan are friends (both from West Park) so borrowing the trophy thing could be true.

It's surprising that there aren't several replicas of the trophies knocking around following their redundancy.
Anyway, back on topic.

| The one on the Sunday is a great possibility seeing as it's a day before my birthday and Superbowl Sunday. Great chance to sample the food as well. Well done Saints on the promotion

Thought Lanaghan went to John Rigby when it was a Catholic grammar school, or am I missing the point here??

No, Lenagan went to West Park. John Rigby only opened in 1959, I was part of the second intake the year after.
There were quite a few lads from Wigan who went to West Park Chris Hesketh being one of them.

You learn something new every day. A lot of lads went to Thornleigh in Bolton prior to John Rigby opening. Didn't realise so many went to West Park.

I can understand a tour of a big, famous old stadium with a famous team and lots of history - for instance I went to see the Bernabau, and it was fantastic.
Saints new ground, though? Erm, ney. It's a nice ground, but I can imagine the tour would take about two minutes.

You can do that by standing outside it, and then buying a ticket for any game. You could EVEN buy a hospitality ticket if you wanted to go indoors.
Do you REALLY need to see Eamonn's office or the changing rooms? And I very much doubt they've bought a trophy cabinet yet, given you've nothing to put in it.

I think it's more of a Wigan fan who thinks £15 to walk round a stadium when you can go there on a match day is a rip off.
Wigan fan defends Wigan fan shock.

| I think it's more a case of people wanting to see the bells and whistles of a stadium that we as a town have waited 20 years for, and many thought would never happen.
People are rightly proud of it and can't wait to have a mooch around the facilities.
