I don't think the is any doubt that Warrington are the real deal. There pack is big, tough and work very hard. They have pace in the backs and also very clever player in briers. They have the best coach in super league.

They look to have some great young kids as well.

You're right, but somebody seems to be questioning Wire's squad depth......Only seems right to point out that the squad depth seems adequate at present....

I wouldn`t say it was a major suprise due to the fact that Rhys Evans has been called into the first team in recent weeks to cover for injuries, his brother Ben is out injured, Matty Blythe would also have been playing if it hadn`t been for first team injuries and half back Craig Harvey is on loan at Wakefield to help them out, Rhys Williams is also on loan at the Crusaders.

Thats a lot of quality to miss at that level.

I think if Wire keep a low profile, keep their big players fit and avoid Wembley they will win Super League this season (If we dont!!)

You seem a little obsessed with the u21s. I think Warrington would be more happy with the win by the FIRST team in which one of there u21s got man of the match.

At the end of the day the u21s is on there to feed the first team.

Agree that wire walked it pretty much against leeds, but the amount of times leeds just gave the ball back to wire through errors, they would have struggled against most good sides

I disagree. Some of the moves Warrington came up with were fantastic. Leeds of old would not have been able to handle Warrington much better.

They'd have had a pack that dominated the Warrington one and backs that wouldn't have been ripped apart as easily.

Although they are missing players, I thought the Leeds defensive intensity wasn't as it has been (bar Sinfield) and they weren't as organised. Then I saw Lowes on their bench and understood why.

Warrington are an interesting case for me, they've steadily improved year on year, and the replacement of Cullen with Smith has been the major factor in that, but so many of their players are 30+. We've lost key players due to age and are coming out of the back end of that, Leeds look as if they are starting to go through it (and the loss of Peacock and Sinfield will possibly be more major for them than Scully, Long and Cunningham for us IMO), but at least we were both very successful over those periods. Warrington have 2 Challenge Cups and whatever they win in the next 2 years before major changes kick in. Morley, Briers, Higham, Clarke, Hodgson, King, Carvell, Monaghan are all 30 plus, with Westwood and Wood not far behind. That's pretty much all their key players who will either be gone or, in reality, no longer good enough for a top club.

I think Wigan and Warrington are a class above at the minute. With us Huddersfield and Leeds behind.

Warrington look very good at the minute but its only just past Round 4 anything can happen yet!
