| The guy's a pudding. Will be interesting to see if he gets an NRL deal for next year though. I'd like to know if it's an attitude and fitness thing or if he's just knackered from all the injuries.
I was chuffed when we signed him too

| Just hope we are not mad enough to give him a new deal. He should be giving big Alex some of his salary

When we signed him, I went on a Manly site and asked more about him.
They said he was quite jeckyl and Hyde in his performances - not week to week, but season to season.
In his first season, despite missing a lot of games through injury, I thought he was good. He was very vocal in defence and was extremely good at dominating the opposistion in the tackle without being penalised. Going forward, while he didn't quite eat up the yards, he was good at attracting 3 tacklers.
The second season was much the same, but you would notice more and more that in the faster paced games against Wigan and Wire, he'd struggle to keep up and ended up making mistakes when flustered. He had a couple of very poor performances in the playoffs.
This season, he's dropped off the chart. Rarely available due to injury, when he is he looks out of shape and ineffective, facts compounded by Brown's decision to only play him for 10 minutes a week. He's never going to gain fitness at that rate.
Question - if overseas players cannot play on dual reg, what team (other than the firsts) can he play for if he was going to try and build up his match fitness?

None. That is how well thought out the decision to scrap the U21s was.

| He's having a mare of a season. But I'd like to know how much of it is him and how much is Brown. He has only played 15 minutes of games recently, but the effort is there during those minutes. The question is why he's not given more time in games? If that's Brown's idea, it's harsh to criticise Perry.
During the time he was on we barely had the ball, conceding possession early on every set until he went off pretty much. He made a few tackles and was taken off. You'd have to get Brown to explain that.

| Massively overweight & hugely unfit. Look at his physique when he played at Manly. He was built like Fairleigh & was alot leaner. He's took the p1$$ out of the club big time, shows no desire & kids such as Walker & Thompson put him to shame. A liability in defence esp as he has no stamina. In a close game I can see why Brown wouldnt risk him. Burrow would of just just ran at him.

It's like alot of the calls the RFL make , short sighted and driven by a desire to cut cost.

The RFL didn't want it, the clubs did.

| Ok I'm all for open debate, but less than 24 hours after a fabulous win we are already focused on the negative.
I mean how depressive are we??? Yes Perry did little, but Walmsley did fantastic, surely we can leave the Perry and Lance threads until we lose again. It's only a week away.
The Sun is out, we had a good win all is good in my world. At least for 24 hours.
