| Great analysis.
Yeah, they have won every single game this year, pocketed the challenge cup, and blew Saints away in the first 20 mins today.
That certainly all adds up to them ruling RL for years to come.
Stay off the ale son.

I agree they was best team by a mile tonight but wouldn't say they will rule rugby for years to come.
Next year will be very very tight and any team from saints, leeds, wigan, wolves and hudds are good enough to win it.

| It's silly season again. When Bradford won, they'd dominate for decade, then Saints would. When Leeds won no one could ever see them losing again, never mind not winning SL.
The salary cap means no one will 'dominate' for more than a 5 year period. Wigan's coach has brought that success this season, his techniques and their style of play will now become the norm.
They only beat us by 12 tonight and we were missing both our halfbacks. It's not like we lost by 60 tonight.

Bloody annoying thing is that they were there for the beating in the second half. If we hadn't cocked up two clear try scoring opportunities, which would have brought us level, we would have at least had a 50:50 chance of winning again. But we just weren't operating as a team. Again!
Bloody Potter and his totally weird line ups, which he changes AGAIN just for the Grand Final and when there was actually no need!

| Wigan were the best team on the night and have been the best team all season.
However, I don't think they'll rule for years to come. I even said to my mum who I was with today that I don't think they'll win it next year. Its impossible to say.

I agree.
Kyle and leon would have been worth at least 12 points for us tonight if they had played.

Absolute garbage (as usual)
The score flattered Saints. Wigan had two tries disallowed and missed three kicks.

Fair enough. Wigan did dominate tonight. But you cannot suggest the game couldn't have gone the other way had Pryce and Eastmond both been fit?

We balsed up two bang on try scoring opportunities, one over the line. Both of those opportunities were in the second half. We got clean breaks in the second half; we didn't in the first. You were there for the taking and had we actually turned up to play tonight, it could have ended up a thriller. As it turned out, we decided to play one of our useless games, the like of which we have seen on many occasions this season.
But all that doesn't mean you weren't the best side on the night. You were. And yes, the scoreline flattered us. We even handed you the ball on one occasion! We were garbage. I love it when Saints are garbage. It reminds me of my youth.

cant argue they deserved there win but with a few 50/50's going our way and a bit more composure we could have made a game of it for certain. If we clean up the PTB like they have in aus to prevent the Wigan/Melbourne 'style' of play I cant see they ruling much tbh.

I'm biting here, probably because I've had a few drinks. But why don't you just go away with your smug nonsense, especially considering that I could bring up several of your nervous and obsessed posts in the few days prior to the game?
Feel lucky that you haven't been banned like you would have with the same posts (Saints fan) had been on Cherry and White, and celebrate your victory without being the clown that you are on here. Enjoy.

| They blew us off the park in those opening twenty-five minutes and we didn't recover from that. Potter's post-match comments pretty much summed up the match for us.
"We burned a lot of energy in the first 20 minutes. I wouldn't say it was won or lost then but it certainly contributed. It's hard to pull back a hefty score and against a quality team it makes it double hard.
[i"Even though we did make some breaks, we probably forced a couple of balls and made some uncharacteristic errors. I thought up until 10 minutes from the end we were still in the game. We just needed something to go our way and it didn't happen tonight but I don't want to take anything away from how well Wigan performed."[/i
They will be a formidable outfit next year with Hoffman and Finch in their line up but after that it will be dependent upon who they have following Maguire. NRL clubs are going to be sniffing around him after next year so maybe Shaun Wane will get the job and he is British which means it will probably be a dip in quality for them at some point during his tenure i.e. when the game goes beyond what Maguire taught him.

Well said, Potter's comments are spot on really.
