| Two games that really matter to build up an advantage, Saints v Hull KR and Castleford v Warrington, if Saints win next week and the Wire manage to beat Castleford then we have a distinct advantage for the last 4 play off.
We can go into the 8's with a 3 game advantage over 5th/6th place, meaning we only need to win 4 games out of our 7 whilst 5th and 6th place would need to win all there 7 games.

| I'd much rather Cas won to be honest. Warrington are meant to be getting Sandow this week and they arent far off us anyway. We'd beat Cas in the semis, Wire would be far tougher.

Are you discounting Huddersfield? They have Wakefield at home in their last match and a much better points difference than Cas.

Hudds look very dangerous at the moment and Brough has them firing too. Great win for them in France. Id say hudds are real contenders this year.

| I'd rather we throw the Hull KR game.
Give Roby, Walmsley, Amor all a rest prior to the CC semi.
Mose on his own will probaby tear Hull KR a new one on his own as I reckon that Hull KR will put out a weakened team next weekend as they too have semi final against Wire and nothing to gain from beating us.
Cas will beat Wire as Wire will also send out a weakened side ready for the week after and Leeds could not care less, they have enough points now for the top 4.

You could give your whole 17 a rest at the moment and still beat us.

I would not count you as easy beats, but given that you are out of the top 8 and that you have a cup game coming up, it would make sense for Hull KR to put out a set of youngsters for this game.
Mose against a full Hull KR side would not be a cake walk, but if you rest your first team to keep them fresh for the cup game, then I would send Mose out to do the damage in the first 20 minutes alongside some of our own younger players.
It would by no means be a novice side that I would send out for Saints but I think Roby and a few others could do with some down time, even if it's just 40 mins of rugby rather than the usual 80.
Mose needs to keep his game time up as he seems to get better the more the season goes on.

| I've never been sure about the wisdom of resting players to save them for the week after. I think they'd rather play especially when they're in good form rather than be sat with their feet up in the stands. It's best to keep the momentum up imo.

I don't think we're in a position to throw any games between now and the end of the season. Wire certainly won't be fielding a weakened team against Cas, as one more loss would seriously hurt their chances of making the playoffs. It's a dogfight from here on.

| I wouldn,t rest anybody just yet, we might get a soft game if KR rest some of there players. There might be a few dead rubber games towards the end of the 8's could be the best time to rest players when this evoves.
Would like the Wire to beat Cas next week, if they don't then Cas get a stronger postion giving 5 teams for the last 4 qualification.

| We often lose to HKR. I don't think now is the time for resting swathes of players.

| Pretty pointless game for us, finishing 9th or 10th makes little difference. We'll be putting out a team of young kids and players that need to prove themselves for the week after.
Kelly, Lunt, Sio, Mantelatto will likely all be left out
Seems a really poor choice of a tv game.

Sounds a good idea for KR to do that. But will they? It would take a brave coach these days to field a weakened side deliberately when it's on Sky.

| A Hull KR fan was telling me the other week that they struggle to find 17 or 18 fit enough players to make a team. Never mind finding others to give them a rest.

You're talking about a team that got done by 60 at the pies!!!!
It'd take a braver coach to risk Albert in a meaningless game. Don't think you'll find too many KR fans who care about this game.
