many, many tackles think both teams will be very sore this morning.
Amor not his usual self? Walmesley a machine, Roby tackles everything
quite a few missed tackles but the lads must have been shattered

They battered Amor. He was dominated several times. looked small yesterday to me as well.
I see turner Kept his missed tackles up even when he's not playing on the edges.

Wigan definitely targetted Amor. He will be very sore this morning. As I have said on the Wigan board, both sides can take huge positives from that game yesterday. It would have been a saints win for me if you had Burns/Walsh on the field. Hopefully the meeting at LP both sides will have near full strength squads available.

| They're calling Tony Clubb's 33 metres an 'incredible performance' on their board. Walmsley made four times as many metres as Clubb and they're having a party. You've got to laugh
Wigan were highly fortunate. They should be hugely concerned that a Saints team without a single half pushed them so close. They don't even have the excuse of being a man down this time. A Saints team with Burns and Walsh on the field would brush them aside with ease. Put Wilkin at scrum half in yesterday's team and we win the game.
They had nearly 2 sets more in possession and an 8-2 penalty count in their favour and managed to score 12 points from a charge down and a kick and gained 22 more metres. Good luck with that Wigan, see you later in the season

Hate to say it but I agree with you!
I've said on the pies board, I'm shocked they couldn't open is up with the disruption we had during the game with the likes of Lms in the centre.
Stick one of burns, walsh or Wilkin into the team and I think we win. Put all 3 in and we win comfortable.

Sorry mate, I've just edited that post a bit whilst you were responding. They had more possession and an 8-2 penalty count in their favour as well !
I don't know what game they watched but I'd be writing Wigan's season off based on yesterday. They've no hope of beating a Saints team that's anything like fit. None.

Sol will make a huge difference for them if they can get him on the field. He can single handed take teams apart like last good friday.
However, they miss Blake Green badly. Matty Smith looks like the half we let go without a good 6 with him.

It's a long old season. I'm pretty sure Wigan fans were saying the same about Saints after Good Friday last year and look what happened...

| The only question I have with those stats was :-
Where we really 4 times worse than Wigan for head shots, tackles etc on that penalty count ratio.

I think the ones given against us were generally fair.
Wigan weren't head hunters and didn't engage in cheap shots.
Farrell was lying up a bit but I seen much worse previously.
One thing that bugs me is when Saints trap a side on their line.
Everyone goes into overdrive with the horrible predictability
of getting pinged on tackle one or two and the pressure is off.
Yes the team trapped look to milk a penalty , yes Refs are looking to give a penalty
but it is avoidable.
Don't fly out of marker, the rest of the line take one pace back and come from behind the mark the refs gives.
Still go for linespeed and put pressure on.
It makes it difficult for the ref to give the penalty and keeps the pressure on the defending team.
As soon as Hampshire was tackled just in the field of play.
I said tackle one or two penalty to Wigan. Volia.
Keep seeing it time and time again.
Small thing that is really avoidable.

I think Amor has been a little bit subdued this season. He's not quite been the force he was before his injury last season. He still gets through a ton of work, though.

I've noticed that myself. Doesn't seem to have that little footwork he had last year which got him on front foot rather than size and power.
I don't think he's the biggest of props tbh and that's why I wanted another prop brought in to do the extra mins with Amor.

| Amor made one outright error in the game. He took a few hits. But there was no prop hitting or running harder with ten minutes remaining.
He played very well against Hull KR, too.

Don't tell me, he's the best prop in world?
