Fantastic achievement getting to the final, missing so many players.
Unlike previous finals, I think we can enjoy this one cos the pressure's off. Few thought we'd even get there. Mightily proud.

Grand final is tomorrow night.

Saints displayed the Leeds, boring but effective rugby to win big games tactic. Our tries came from just running at them, we didn't have to do anything else.

Which will work against a knackered catalan team, aided by practically every decision humanly possible going against them.

You mean other than the blatatent forward pass that lead to their first try, and not sending off a kick?

Kick is irrelevant in context, game was already done. Escare forward was cancelled out by the bosc one which should have stood earlier.

You will need to play a lot better next week whoever you play just hope it's the wire.congrats on getting there but I think who ever wins tomorrow night will win the gf.

But it shouldn't. It was a knock on. A blatant knock on. I don't understand why the sky "commentary" kept going on about it ... Any other day and no one would of blinked an eyelid. Same with the Percival "forward pass" that never was. He was fortunately for all judging it, next to a line, he passed it on the line, and Makinson caught it behind the line. Stevo summed it up "oh ... Duport did get a hand to that ... Sadly" - people are claiming "the rfl decided who they wanted to win before the match" but the Sky team decided earlier!

Now, that's not to say the ref had a good game in any way. He was dire. And yes, some decisions did go saints way. Makinson had a foot in touch when chasing back at one point. And I think we lost the ball in the tackle once that we got away with. But Catalans got as many, and had in addition the luxury of making a cup of tea every tackle they were so slow. Oh, and Pelissier made 2 spears that went beyond the horizontal (the one in the middle was fine iirc)

Anyway. Irrelevant or not, kind of disproves the saints got ALL the calls.

We have nothing to lose next week. It's a one off game where anything can happen.

Saints in the second half was a far more blatant knock on and it was allowed.

It's really not though. We are probably the biggest outsiders ever going into the Grand Final, I'd have us as less likely to win than the likes of Hull were when they got to the Final. It would take something truly amazing to happen for us to win at OT.

It's funny because just a few weeks ago it was saints fans saying all this. It was saints fans writing off your own chances. No chance. But nothing has really changed. If you'd said to most saints fans then, despite your apparent dire straits, your route to the grand final will be a knackered Cas team at home, a week off, then a knackered catalans team at home, you would have all fancied your chances then, when apparently all was lost.
