Quote: Saddened! "What did you put?'"
I reasoned that, beyond the results which were themselves dissapointing, the manner of the on-field events was extremely frustrating, focussing on -
The apparent lack of intensity/commitment/drive to win from numerous senior members of the squad. A lack of fight or desire, I called it.
The lack of game plan in attack or discipline in defence
The random and baffling weekly changes and the determination to shoe horn in certain senior players over ryoungster that could do better.
[iI should have mentioned the flacid after match reasoning from t he head coach.[/i
All these, now combined with the strong rumours that some of the pointless senior players (whom are most guilty of the above) are being rewarded contract extensions was making supporting Saints a bitter pill to swallow.
I pointed out that his rousing statement inthe bradford match programme had gone unheeded and that, in fact, Lafrannchi's unnoficial contract anouncement completely undermined it anyway.
I thanked him for the great work he'd done securing the club's future interms of ground and finance, but pointed out it would all be pointless if we continued to be so desperatly dissapointing on the field and that a half empty Langtree park would be the unhappy result of the situation remaining unchecked.
I was careful to sound more considered, rather than spout negetive vitriol, but hopefully if that letter, combined with the veiws of the other concerned posters on here, were to fall on his desk, then perhps he'll take notice and at least whip Brown into shape, rather than allowing him to continue to about everyweek as if he's experimenting on Champiuonshipp Manager.
