Having just watched the game tonight I can say it was not good for the ex Saints players. Emmett looked like a fat flopper Ashurst was not at the races at all Dixon was average to say the least and as for Gaskell he was like Dusty Hare all he didn't do was call for the mark! he really is not up for the back bending stuff and he was the best out of the four.

If I was a Salford fan I would be concerned also at who was in the dressing room at half time they did not show a head shot but had the same colour jumper that was worn by the good Doctor, that would be a dangerous precedent.

Lets hope they are as bad when we play them.

I would imagine all of them bar Theo Fages (who has just signed a 2 year deal) are anxious about their futures. However, I have seen the whole team play better than they did this evening and it may be that Nobby's style isn't helping them. He's certainly killed off the attacking flair Longy had introduced, which is a real shame.

To be fair, Williams had a decent run out.

The Wakey pack, especially Amor and Kirmond tore them to shreds up the middle. Salford's defence was woeful, everytime Tim Smith picked a pass and Kirmond hit a line, they were in danger of breaking through.
If we don't put a big score on them, there's something up.

In Salford's case I would imagine it was desperation. They simply didn't have enough bodies left at the club due to almost becoming defunct. He won't last past this season at Salford.

And those reasons is what makes Phil Vievers sacking to be totally disgusting
