Anyone with any sense will have known its mot St. Helens who signed him. We don't sign top quality players. We ain't got that type of ambition.

I wonder if we will be ever able to compete again with Top NRL players coming to Super League, look at the money the NRL received for TV it makes our look like pocket money! Nigel Woods and the panel on the red button after the match yesterday talked about keeping our best players having say two players who would not be included in restrictions on salary, but that has been done in the past by paying wives or partners!

NRL is more attractive, bigger attendances, higher media profile and a great experience for younger players, same with union here in the UK, for a few seasons I have been concerned but people have just laughed saying we are The Greatest Game in the World? I wonder if you asked the UK population how many would agree with that?

That's a baffling one although with no quotes etc it could be just speculation. Meli will be leaving at the end of the season, so we should be in for quality players like Briscoe.
