| I think we need to stay cool, a few minutes in a friendly, is not the same as an extended run week after week, playing some of the best in SL. Huddersfield had a lot of big players out last night.

Let us be happy and optimistic whilst we can.

| Oh I'm optimistic, I reckon one trophy this year, but I also think that the experienced players are going to be more paced over the season and not racing out the blocks for game one, where Leeds will be looking 9 months down the road.
But then there is an arguement for using that youth and enthusiasm early on in less meaning full games to give the older more experienced heads a rest game every now and then.

I think we've got a better chance this year than last. This is partly due to the fact that Wigan are a lot weaker and Warrington haven't strengthened, but also I think that Manu and Turner are improvements on Flannery and Shenton.

| I'm hoping for a good cup run this year. Whether we can win the playoffs is a different test to the CC, you may have 2 tough games at the most in the CC to win the thing.
I think this is because early on lower placed SL teams are too concerned with the league and making sure they are in the best position for the playoffs. Those teams higher up, tend not to be at full pace early on in the CC as they are hoping to time their run for a month or two later on.
A CC final and top 2 would be my expectations. Anything else is down is blowing on the wind of injuries, form and luck.

| I think we should not get carried away. Walmsley needs easing in so I would suspect another 25-30 min run out around half time. If Perry is available then he should play, give how poorly conditioned he was at the start of last year he could do with some game time to get him up to speed.
I guess it all depends on Browns intentions as to what he does. If he is still considering Hohaia as a halfback he could do with giving him a game at 6. I suspect that the team will probably start with the same team as Huddersfield pending returns.

Saints have confirmed on their website that Walmsley is dual registered with Batley this season so I would imagine we won't see an awful lot of him.

I think that is a good thing, we all know props mature at a later age. No need to rush him through.

I think we will. Its always nice to know that he has Batley (no offence) to fall back to but id fully expect him to be around LP for the majority of this season.
A prospect who would do well starting some of the earlier games in the season where id love to see a few lads from the Academy/U18/U21 whatever it is now, getting a game and used to some SL standard contact and conditioning.
You only have to play for 3 months of the season anyway. August, September and October.
