You would suspect that Meli, Puletua and maybe even Wello are likely to retire. Gardner needs a season without injury to stand a chance. Perry needs an act of god.

Apart from that you would suspect the rest will be offered contracts

Paul Wellens: Depends on how he and his potential replacements go this season.
Ade Gardner: Depends on how he and his potential replacements go this season.
Francis Meli: Will be too old for another contract.
Josh Perry: If he has a really good season he'll be off back to Oz, if he has a (third) terrible season we'll release him, if he has an OK season we may resign.
Tony Puletua: Depends on injuries and whether he wants to keep playing - probably retirement.
Anthony Laffranchi: New contract.
Mark Flanagan: New contract.
Shaun Magennis: On the bus to Salford as we speak.

He'll have a good season then leave and we'll replace him with a foreign older fullback who last played halfback since u11's but just fancies a crack at it .... Oh wait

Let him go. Not going to be good enough. Wheeler is the far better prospect, unfortunately he has limbs made of shortbread.

We all have our opinions how u can say that is beyond me if wheeler was that good would been playing half back instead centre

Same could be said for gaskell and lance if gaskell was that good he would been playing 6 instead of lance

He's already contracted past the end of the year as is Makinson so I didn't bother pointlessly including them in a discussion that they aren't a part of. FWIW I have substantial doubts over Gaskell still (that some more gametime from a non-numpty coach last season might have gone some way to proving one way or another but never mind) and think Wheeler is a vastly better bet to be our longer term #6 if he gets his act together. But in the horribly talent-diminished future that SL is facing it's hard to see too many better halves than Gaskell potentially could be becoming available any time soon so we need to keep hold of him. So there.
