| What do people expect from him next season? (if he is still at the club)
Does anyone think he has it in him to be a solid prop for us next year?

| He's been a pretty much solid prop for us this year.
But to warrant a hefty salary and a quota place, a player needs to be much more than 'solid' - no matter what position they play in.

Been far less than solid IMO.

| Why every time he is tackled does he get lifted off the ground so easily?

I'd love to know.....he seems so easy to defend against, given his size as well.

| I've stuck up for Perry throughout this season, as when he has been fit he has put in some really solid performances. But it has to be said, he absolutely stank in the playoffs. In the match at the HJ he gave away more metres in penalties than he gained with the ball.
I think he's capable of big things, but he strikes me as the kind of guy who needs a bomb under him in order to really perform. Perhaps Brown will be able to get the best out of him, and also if Walmsley can challenge him for a shirt that might make a difference.

I agree. At times he has looked half decent but nowhere near consistent enough.
I remember reading the rumours thread and when the rumour about him signing appeared a few said it was too good to be true.....

| He has shown glimpses of his NRL form this season (well been better than last season) but dont think we will ever see him at his best!
I am not one to call for lots of players to go/be replaced but I think we could easily cope without Perry and invest his wage and overseas quota on a far better player. Would rather see Perry go and us offer Taylor from Hull KR a deal

| He finished year 2 in fine form: doing the naked run down Prescot Road on Mad Monday and getting himself arrested and fined for it by a passing police car!
Just about sums up everything really.

| Some of his stats however are excellent. He hasn't missed an attempt at goal.

| Perry has some qualities superior to any other of our front rows, specifically, the way he dominates the opposition forwards when tackling them. He plays it very well, watching the ref and holding down just enough not to get penalised (if he has an off day on this though, he'll give awaya hotful).
He also sucks in a lot of defenders when carrying the ball.
He directs the defenders around him well by being very vocal.
However,
He doesn't make enough yards on the whole.
In high paced matches (like the spankings from Wigan), he looks behind the game and (see above) fatigue appears to cause him to lose his grip on the ptb, giving away silly penalties.

| He owes us a big, big year next year. I was hopeful of big things in the playoffs from him after the sharp upturn in his form over the second half of the season, but frankly he was a disaster in the 2 Wire games. I wouldn't be a bit unhappy if he went home early to be honest.

| He has a faultless a conversion rate and a 100% try return on all his kicks in play! Next season you could have
Perry as stand off and Lance H at front row.
He seemed to try too hard in the first Wire game but he has had so many injuries to contend with and I don't
think he's had sufficient chance to settle in properly with a row of consecutive games. He must have some unnoticeable
qualities as he was part of your pack which steam rolled ours in the first half like no other pack has done
for a long time.
I really do think, bar injury, that'll he'll do some serious damage next year.
You've one hell of a pack, and combine that with the growing experience of your many younger players; then
you've a lot to look forward to next season.

| This pudding will be playing for a new contract next year so no doubt it will be his best (although this wont be too hard to achieve) year in the red vee. IMO whoever signed this guy along with Hoioha (sp) & giving Wilkin a FOUR year deal needs to be tarred & feathered on the town hall steps. Our recruitement policy over the last 18 months has been dodgey to say the least, maybe the new ground was a distraction but should have no excuses next year but only time will tell.
