| Had a great game tonight and deserves a lot of credit. Seemed to have a hand in everything both defensively and offensively. Seemed to take a far more direct approach in attack after Jonny asked him to.

| Decent game and it's good to see his effort is continuing. Although I don't rate him and I think he's been poor, you can't fault his commitment.

| 100% effort from and Lance it was an improvement but for me he'll never be a halfback. Just not quick enough when under pressure for me. Would be great as an extra pivot from fullback though .....

| Looked hugely fired up.
Maybe Gaskell hovering around on the fringes has got him looking over his shoulder.
Hope so.

| He played very well to tonight, it was good seeing him take the mine on for his try.
I think Perry deserves a big shout tonight, he put himself about a run strong.

| Well I thought he played well as a halfback tonight. If you check back on my comments in the past, I've not been an admirer, but I have to call it good when I see it and this can sit quite nicely alongside the Leeds game for him, but in a different type of game.

Definitely agree about Perry. Without him tonight we would have been lost against a big aggressive pack.

And that's my point with Laffranchi at prop, he can't compete with big physical packs. He's had a ok season and gives 100% but in these games it shows he's a backrow playing prop.
Sia played well when he came on. Why is he on the bench?

I do think he was vastly improved but my comment still stands , in the Leeds game you mentioned he had acres of space and he looked good.

I'm guessing they wanted Sia for impact when TP and Perry came off. Was he playing at prop today he defended very central?

I agree, he's to slow at halfback, I don't mean as in pace, it's his speed of thought and basically lack of rugby brain.
I've played stand off most my life and was always taught to play with my head up and play what I see, lance certainly plays with his head up but it seems to take a eternity for his brain to trigger what he sees.
I think years of playing fullback, where the is more space doesn't help as he needs to play when the aint space.

I agree, I think playing at fullback he would have space similar to that against Leeds most weeks and he would be able to influence the game far more just like Tomkins does at W***n

Sia should be starting, he can play long mind and has been out best forward this year and brings aggression that we lack.
Put lazy bones TP on the bench and let him impact the game.

| Lazy bones?
I think the big plus for Lance is that this was a tough close game. He certainly put himself into the game and made an impact. He turned us around after we had been pummelled for 10 minutes.
That's what we want from a half back is'nt it, not just a halfback who can play behind a dominate pack, but a half who can take control and impact on a game when it's more even.
