Massive blow for us, he seems to be involved in most of our tries, he scores tries and also works very hard.

Hopefully, will only miss the Widnes game, 20 days to the Catalan game.

If Gaskell is his replacement we are in the mire!

Think of last season, Pete. In the end we learned that nothing was a 'massive blow' for us except Robes being absent. We will cope, I'm sure!

I,m more worried about what constraints Mike Rush will put on Gaskell, instead of letting him play a natural game.

Lomax might be fit for the Widnes game he had the rib injury for weeks and played with injections

Maybe better letting him rest, we should manage Widnes without him and then we've two weeks before next game.

What are you on! Gaskell is a quality young player with far more to his game at half-back than Lance I think he'll go very well.

I would not want him to come back for Widnes on injections. Better to come back fully fit, at this stage of the season we need to be keeping guys fresh and fit, not getting them to struggle through a few games to then be useless at the end of the year.

Sure we are unlikely to win anything this year, but hope springs eternal and sport is funny and throws up unexpected results, so we have to at least aim to win the big one, even if it is unlikely.

We all should know by now Top Saint is not Gaskell's biggest fan so no need for people to be surprised there.
