Boooom! Tomkins and Ablett put into the blender so far. He's having a fantastic game.

It's amazing how the upturn in standard across the park makes some players stand out and some disappear. Charnley can do no wrong for Wigan, but looks massively out of his depth tonight. Same with Chase.

Chase is just struggling for form. His anger and frustration are boiling over into his play.

It's been a poor game. Looks like a bad injury to Mr Leuluai. Wigan aren't happy, their fans are demaning compensation and proclaiming tonight to be the end of the Exiles concept because a Wigan player has been injured.

Would be a shame for TL to have played his last game in this country in a meaningless game

He's a winger playing outside a centre. Of course he was quiet.

i have never seen a player play for himself more than roby. the guy should learn that scooting every time the ball is played can become counter productive, he loose any space the albeit crappy attacking line have by taking up to the defending line all the time.

well when the attacking line was set tonight roby just picked the ball up took 6 to 8 meters and passed just before being tackled leaving the rest of the line no space to attack.

Briscoe has looked turd and out of his depth in every game he has played for England, and he has played a damn site more games than Charnley. Charnley didnt really get the ball and certainly did no worse than Hall.

On Charnley people forget that he is still fairly inexperienced and he hasnt really played many SL games and is still learning imo. Last year when he was playing outside of Joel Tomkins he was often exposed defensively and didnt look half as good in attack and defence as he has done this year. This changed this season when Goulding, who is great defensively, has been his centre. He is also the leading centre in SL for try assists and a player who has set up most of Charnleys tries. Charnleys a good player and great finisher but Gouldings contribution to his tries and overall play this year cannot be underestimated. Put Charnley outside an awful centre like Ablett, who isnt eve raelly a centre, and he was always going to be quiet and more unsure.

dubairl probably didn't even watch the game. He's just decided McIllorum is vastly better than Roby and so therefore Roby must have been terrible. Ignoring the fact he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile and won Man of the Match, it's a fair point.

Had McIllorum and Goulding played, England would have won by 340 and declared by quarter past 7.

On Roby and McIlorum it is just a question of preference in what you want from a hooker and I dont think many Wigan fans would have any complaint about Roby being selected in the starting team. It is just a judgement call and your own personal opinion and I can totally see why someone else would prefer Roby. The baffling thing for me was McIlorum not being picked in the squad at all.

Selections like this will always cause debate. More worrying for me are things that McNamara has done that are wrong to 99% of RL fans like Sinfield being selected at Stand Off, as well as 4 other average and out of form Leeds players, Ablett at centre, Peacock still captain, no building towards the World Cup etc. These are far more worrying than a coin toss between 2 players.
