| Potential defeat on the cards here. They will start confident after the end of the Cup game and we're weak in the pack.
The likes of Wellens, Hohaia, Laffranchi and Clough really need to play this week.

| Quote: St_Cunningham_no9 "20. Lee Gaskell, 25. Carl Forster, 26. Josh Jones, 28. Joe Greenwood, 34. Adam Swift.'" That's a few young lads on the end there.
I wonder who we'll see. If I recall, Forster did ok in his debut against Quins last year, didn't he?
I've said before I'm a little unconvinced by Magennis as a front rower, so I'd like to see Forster get a run in comparison.
Greenwood's also a lad who looks an exciting prospect, from the size and stories of him, but I suspect he'll miss out this week.

| Wouldnt mind seeing a kicking game. Gaskell for Hohaia, with Lance coming off bench at hooker, and Robes playing some stages at loose forward.

I'd like to see that. I reckon Gaskell will be raring to go after his break, but I feel the coaches will not want to tinker too much with what gave them success in their first couple of games.

Whilst I don't tend to bat an eylid at your pessimism, they will be bouyed by last week, they've got some big boys and we've got two props missing.
I think we'll straighten things out and win, but its still a banana skin at this point.

With two senior props missing, surely they'll take Forster?

| For those interested the Widnes 19 is:
2. Paddy Flynn, 3. Chris Dean, 4. Willie Isa, 5. Patrick Ah Van, 6. Lloyd White, 8. Ben Cross, 11. Frank Winterstein, 12. Hep Cahill, 13. Jon Clarke, 17. Steve Pickersgill, 18. Cameron Phelps, 19. Sione ‘John' Kite, 20. Stefan Marsh, 21. Dave Allen 22. Macgraff Leuluai, 24. Kurt Haggerty, 25. Danny Craven, 26. Anthony Mullally, 36. Joe Mellor.
Interesting to see they've dropped their young F/B who acquitted himself really well on Saturday

I'm unsure who the fourth interchange will go to but Secondrow's Team is one that I personally would name.
IIRC was Forster dual Reg'd @ Widnes?

| Well Foster is really not the flavour of the month.
I'm not taking the last game into account at all. The game was in the bag, we took the foot off the peddle, got a ma sent off and clearly handed the bag to widnes wrapped up in a paper bow.
The result maybe different, but it will have nothing to do with the mighty comeback from Widnes last week. Cause if the last 10 minutes gives Widnes confidence the other 70 should be giving them kittens, in the cup the point difference was irrelevant. In the league the defense will be so much better.
from that squad
1. Paul Wellens, 34. Adam Swift, 3. Michael Shenton, 26. Josh Jones, 5. Francis Meli, 6. Lance Hohaia, 7. Jonny Lomax,
14. Anthony Laffranchi, 9. James Roby, 10. Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook,
13. Chris Flannery, 15. Mark Flanagan,
4. Sia Soliola
16. Paul Clough, 18. Shaun Magennis, 19. Andrew Dixon, 20. Lee Gaskell,
I'd guess for this game the back on the bench will be in order. Can't see why Gaskell is in the squad otherwise.
