3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

Behind the posts.
Sorry one I couldn't resist.
I actually think you'll do o.k. with much the same team as Saturday. Obviously Roby and Soliola will play if available.
The thing Leeds have is pace from 1 to 7 and if it's a dry day that could be the difference.
They are going to play you deep and make you come a long way so you need to win the first collisions and get on the front foot. One thing I've noticed is that Puletua is very good in the opponents half but doesn't seem to want to do the hard work close to your own line "the hard yards" That means that LMS and Perry are going to have put a lot of work in.

| I would not expect a revolution in terms of Perry playing wing.
Maybe the back on the bench will go, with Roby back, Lance may start in the halfbacks or may be the replacement to give roby a 10 -20 minute rest.
Cunningham knows how to get the best out of the hooking role so you may see some influence there.

| True. Leeds have a very good kicking game so we need a good kick return. I can see the return of Gardner and Meli to the wings with Hohaia and Lomax 6 &7 to cause Leeds big guys problems and 4 forwards on the bench!

| I don't think we'll see Gaskell or Makinson.
I think Hohaia will partner Lomax in the halves.
Wilkin revert back to the 13
Back on the bench gone.

| I could live with that for a while, but it will hamper our kicking, even if we slot Wilkin into a better kicking position

Possibly, but I think it gives the team better balance and most importantly some experience in the halves

Sorry what?! Gaskell is a maybe but you simply cannot drop TMak, the best winger in the club in my opinion at the moment. If anyone should be looking over his shoulder it should be Foster.
I just hope Wheeler has been in kicking practice this week.

'TMak' certainly has a lot of credit with the fans. But I must say he's been completely anonymous since he broke into the first team squad. IMO he doesn't contribute nearly enough to be in the first team on the wing.
Does he have this reputation purely because he doesn't make the same glaring errors our other (Pathetic) wingers and centre make? The stats certainly back that up...
Foster:
Career Super League games 41
Career Super League tries 29
Career Super League tries per game 0.71
Career Super League clean breaks per game 0.73
Career Super League metres per appearance 64.98
Career Super League metres per carry 7.79
Career Super League errors per appearance 0.92
Makinson:
Career Super League games 22
Career Super League tries 7
Career Super League tries per game 0.32
Career Super League clean breaks per game 0.18
Career Super League metres per appearance 55.09
Career Super League metres per carry 6.69
Career Super League errors per appearance 0.77
The only stat where Makinson is in Foster's league is errors.

Fingers crossed it'll be:
Wellens
Makinson
Shenton
Wheeler
Gardner
Hohaia
Lomax
Laffranchi
Roby
Puletua
Sia
Clough
Wilkin
Flanagan, Dixon, Perry, LMS......Flanagan can cover pretty much any position off the bench. I'm sure Meli will get the nod over Wheeler though.

Point one does not tie in with point two.
At all.

This.
I can see it being a very busy night for Wellens should Foster start. Makinson and Gardner will run at the line, Foster not so much.

On the contrary. Meli is suspect at dealing with kicks, we know that. However, tis the wingers' job to take the first scoot out of our territory. With Makinson and Foster being rather diminutive, I was considering how much we miss Meli's size when bringing the ball away from our own line, in terms of not just gaining yards, but a quickish PTB.
Sinfield long kicking game will pin us right back near our line.

I'm hearing the same, with returns for Roby and Soliola.
