| I know we had all the commotion before the Widnes game regarding parking and prices and stuff. It was free in the multistorys on that day but it was thought it wouldn't continue to be free when the season proper began. Any word on this?
Also, is it still free on the old Tesco site? Not being a local (travel from Blackpool every week), can someone give me an address/postcode/directions to this site if it continues to be free.
I don't really no the area so parking every week can be a mystery. It was easy at Knowsley Road but now i'm in an unfamilar area of the town
Also, sorry if this has been hit upon on MANY times already.

Yes. There is a charge of £1 per car tomorrow night on the multistoreys.

Nope. There is a charge of £1 per car at the old Tesco site.
Some town centre car parks are still free so far as I can gather but the multistoreys and the former Tesco car park are not.
Still, £1 per car is nothing. It covers the Council's costs and doesn't hurt anybody's bank account.

| I can cope with a quid. My main concern at the Widnes game was getting out of the multistory. When I've gone to concerts etc and parked in multistories I've been waiting hours to get out. However I was in my car and out on the road within 10 minutes of the match finishing. Good stuff.

They can't stop anyone parking on the road. Only the council can do that, with relevant parking restrictions. Just move the cones next time! HOwever, they can charge you £5 for parking on their land if they want to, assuming the land was privately owned by them of course.

It could be. A letter to the Council alerting them may be worthwhile.

Contact the club direct, they have some coach parking for away fan coaches at the ground. If that's booked up they will tell you the alternative.

I had a minor problem with these guys. They look official but I don't know whether they are. I tried to park on the corner of Jackson St and Ketterer Court (which runs off it) as I had done for the Widnes game without any problems.
I was accosted by a guy who threatened me with clamping and a £250 release fee (at least he warned me) as he said Ketterer Court was a private road and that the companies who occupied that estate didn't want any saints or other fans parking there.
When I asked him why, he said they had a lot of problems at the Widnes game. I asked him what sort of problems as every business there is closed in the evenings but he would not elaborate, which made me think that these problems were just a made up excuse.
My parting shot was to ask him to thank these businesses for their unswerving support of the saints and their kind assistance to fans. He started to get a bit awkard with me so I gave up and left quickly like the chicken I am.

| Ive no idea if Ketter Court is a private road ( i doubt it is but cant be sure without contacting the council ).Unless there are clear signs saying you cant park then no one can clamp you legally,no real help i know when they are there and confrontational.

Signs have gone up on the retail park to the effect that no parking will be allowed there on match days .....usual fines of £100 and/or towed away etc along with number plate recognition cameras being deployed.
