| in the u15,s game leeds won 30-24. despite the close score leeds were far better, the score given a closer look due to a late saints surge. centre matt whiteley was saints star man, he looked a threat every time he had the ball.
can't remember the u16's score but it was a big leeds win, around 42-16.
for you guys the second rower luke thomson looked a class act and prop conor smith worked hard but leeds pack was far too good for the saints youngsters.
i saw the first half of the u18,s and saints were winning 14-10 when i had to leave.
one thing i noticed was the odd player apart how much bigger the leeds lads were. still, size isn't everything as my mrs says, so plenty of time for players to develop

| Had a feeling that was comming against your U16's. I agree with your statement about size.
What did the U18's end up? Be very surprised if you won that one and I can bet Mark Percival scored.

| People at Leeds tell me our u16's are the best youth group since McGuire, burrow etc came through as a team. They certainly looked the part today, a really cracking team.
you won the u18 game 42-22mate.

| I guess the injuries at first team level will be filtering down to this level as well as they are bumped up age groups to cope with the call ups to the first team?

Not now. The u20s and u18s got a bunch of players back last weekend and other than Makinson, the u20s have their usual complement of players and so the u18s will have too.
I'm glad our u18s managed to beat the Whinos! The u20s were slaughtered last night and the u16s and u15s all lost too.
I think our u18s are a good team. They keep coming up with wins.

I'm not convinced Yates is as good as you think he is. We'll have to wait and see.
I was hoping your 15's and 16's would win today and set up a great double header at Wigan next week.
Today Wigan U15's beat Widnes 58 -4 and the U16's also beat Widnes 70 - 4.
Widnes beat Wigan at U18 50 - 28.

| Danny Yates is everything a scrum half should be. Excellent ball skills and great kicking game. He can also drop a shoulder and go himself.
He is the best Scrum Half at U18 level, that there is no danger.

I'm sorry "tad rhino" ive got to disagree with ur comment about the u15's being "far better" than Saints...i was at the game too n yes leeds did play well but only some poor defence from saints in the 1st half let rhino's pull away a bit. Would be nice if u gave saints some credit for coming back into the game, they never gave up and worked hard for each other in the 2nd half and were unlucky not to get something out of the game.

Rogues, from what i have seen his lack of size could be a real problem if he is to play SL in the next few seasons.

| What do you mean by lack of size ?
The lads put on plenty of weight over the last 12 months (Muscle) but i'd agree he is not the tallest. But neither is Wheeler and Lomax.

It was only when Leeds eased offsaints got back into it. Fair ay they never gave up but I thought Leeds were much the better team on the day. I'm not here to score points bud, just thoughtigive yousome input on today

I know your not on here to score points mate but i was at the game and from what you say on here it sounds like it was all Leeds. You say they were "much better on the day" n Saints only got back into it coz Leeds "eased off"....Leeds won 1st half 16-6 n Saints won 2nd half 20-14..The pattern of play was similar..1st half Saints score 1st then Leeds hit back with 3 tries...2nd half Leeds score 1st n Saints hit back with 2 tries, then Leeds score n then Saints score again, the final whistle goes with Saints pressing on the Leeds line so to me that sounds like a pretty even game and BOTH team deserved a clap . Just wanna add i thought your number 8 had a good game n ran hard n 13 looked a decent player too
