According to the daily star, Jamie could be on his way back to saints next season to coincide with the clubs move to the new stadium. It says 'Lyon has always said that he would like to return to saints and the word from Sydney is that he might be back next season!! Would love to see Lyon back at saints, wouldn't you?? ...... In other news in the star it says that Kyle eastmond is being mentored by ellery hanley as he weighs up his next move!

Lyon is contracted until the end of the 2013 season with Manly. He will also be 32 at the end of the contract, not that i didnt think he was a great player but Shenton and Soliola are mid-twenties, one very good upcoming centre and another who can play centre and as a utility.
Wheeler is also coming through at 21. So there doesnt seem to be a need for Lyon.
Poor rumour from lazy journalism.

IF the rumour is true which is a big if due to the source. I think if Jamie returned for 1 maybe 2 seasons to pass on his skills to Wheeler and Shenton then it would probably be worth his wages. Having a player of his calibre and experience around can surely only be a good thing for the team.

If we're going for a big overseas signing I'd be looking for a half back (to replace Eastmond if he goes) or a full back rather than a threequarter.
