Game winning performance from him yesterday. Last year I mentioned that I was hopeful that Lomax would come through in the full back position because that extra speed from there can make a big difference. It did last night with Tomkins who looked threatening every time he went wide because there was space for him. I'm hoping that he gets more game time in that position because as we've seen with Billy Slater over the past decade it is a winning approach to the game.

I'm not knocking Wellens because he is a club legend but that extra pace is essential in the post-Minichello era.

Sam Tomkins will go on to be the best british player we have had in decades.

Eastmond will never be fit to lace his boots unfortuntaley.

We didn't help matters in that we didn't control him. Had we done what we have done in previous meetings and kept tabs on him, he wouldn't have been as effective. Let him loose, as we did, and he will have a field day.

The Wigan player who really impressed me was Luluei (I can never spell his name!). He ran the show. Destroyed us.

Thought Tomkins was brilliant - always a danger. Why we kept on persisting in kicking down his throat I don't know. Just hope he can replicate his form for England.

you cant control tomkins when hes at fulback thats why i like him playing there
he can stand 2 or 3 yards behind play and then when he chooses bang hes in the line and its 3 on 2
since brett hodge from hudds came over its showed to have a playmaker at fullback who can turn up were ever he wants when he feels its right to join the line instead of having to be first or second receiver really throws defenses

tomkins played well. unfortunately for you lacking pace is what won this game for wigan. think might be a different result with eastmond and pryce playing.

Don't be daft. We controlled him when we won at your place. It just takes a few markers to do their job, which they didn't last night.

Leuluai, however, has always given us problems and he was outstanding last night. I definitely think he deserved his Harry Sunderland award.

I'm sure he was still playing stand of when you played us at the DW could be wrong, but he is more of a threat attacking from fullback.
