| First of all congrats for reaching the GF. As a closet saints fan since boyhood I well remember Eddie Cunningham the Uncle of Keiron playing for Saints. But, I never hear him mentioned or written about when commentators wax lyrical about his nephew. Can anyone enlighten me on his present association with the club and what older Saints fans thought of him (as a player). Thanks in advance.
There was an Eddie Cunningham wasn't there, I mean I didn't dream it up....did I?

There was, but he was Kieron's brother, not uncle. He was a little before my time, and I don't think he has any official connection with the club currently.

| As above, Eddie is Keiron's elder brother.
He actually holds something over KC as he won the Lance Todd trophy in 1982 playing for Hull, an achievement which has eluded his more decorated younger brother! Cunningham has said in the past this is something Eddie takes great pleasure in reminding him of.

I think it would have been for Widnes, against Hull.

Easy mistake to make as Eddie is considerably older than Keiron.

| As a player, I remember him as having loads of talent, but as with many players of his semi professional generation, probabaly never fulfilled his potential. Not sure if this was down to his commitments outside the game, love of the odd pint or two, or what, but still have fond memories of watching him play. Would put him in the "talented character" pigeon hole along with John Walsh.
