Anyone heard this rumour about Sale Sharks moving into share our new stadium?

Seriously doubt this would happen.

ive not but my first reaction is a positive one, stadium used all year round, potential for new fans, where's the downside?

If a union club wants to pay us rent in the winter whilst dying a slow, miserable death in a town where one man wouldn't even take his dog to the match, I'm all for it.

It is happening. It was the reason the 'Saints RL' tag was brought in.

Can't see it happening. A one off game maybe but not a long term deal

There's about 30 miles between the clubs so it's not like the new ground will be on their doorstep

I'm all for it, if it makes our finances any better, ends the losses and secures our future as a club.

Don't get the "Saints RL" tag though as being relevant. If there had have been a connection then a simple Saints Rugby would have bee more appropriate?

It's our stadium, so we would be generating plenty of profit from it. It would be a fantastic move, but would seem a bit unlikely.

It would especially good if we could name the stadium 'The St Helens Rugby League Stadium - home of a team which plays the world's greatest game - Rugby League' (or words to that effect ) just to hear them on Sky Sports News.

'Now to the St Helens Rugby League Stadium to check on proceedings in the Sale Sharks vs Leicester Tigers game.....'

All rather unlikely, but whilst we're talking best case scenario

some union types could possibly cross over to the better game.
