| OK, who got a decent veiw of his tackle? I didn't see it from the pop side as there was a player in my way.
Was it illegal? Will he be facing a ban? Or was it just a case of KABOOM for the hudds lad!?!

| From my view (bang in line, although on the wrong side of the field) it just appeared to be a case of KABOOM, with the knock out coming from the force in which Mcgillvray smacked his head on the floor.
I will quite happily admit I am wrong if there is any video footage to suggest otherwise.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

| Will you actually be bothered if Meli does suffer a ban for the game against Wigan? I mean all that most of you does is complain about him anyway, and rightfully so in my opinion.

If he has one of the games where he doesn't make a gaffe, he's our best outside back (13 tries in 12 games so far despite being in and out of the side).
Big if though.

| Meli scores tries but makes mistakes just as Ainscough / Penny do. It's a risk but you don't really have the same cover options in that position that Wigan or Wire do.
Personally I think he is a much better winger than many Saints fans give him credit for, and I would be quite happy for him too miss out on next Sundays game.

He does make mistakes, but he's not a speedbump like those two in defence.

Ainscough is actually a very good tackler. His problem is and always has been his kick defence, be it on the ground or in the air.

Not sure I agree - I think he's weak in the tackle and that he struggles positionally too. Admittedly I haven't seen him as much as you have.

Apart from the odd supporter that likes to use him as a scape goat, I think you'll find most of us appricate his good points. The problem is not the frequency of his laspses but the monumental moments he tends to save them up for!

He can be devastating when he's on form and he's mistake free - sadly he makes very high profile errors when he's under pressure.

| It looked to me that he hit with his shoulder, the fact that no hudds players ran in arguing or having a go indicates there was little wrong with it

I couldnt see theincident clearly but I could see the ref and he was in a perfect position and he didnt react at all until it was clear that the hudds player wasnt getting up

| It looked ok to me, the player put his head down and Meli caught him with his shoulder. I'm sure he'll be ok for the wigan game and hope he scores an hatrick with no mistakes.
