It was one game in conditions that without sky it would have been called off.

Back to the original point, I'd have to agree with the OP, lot of kneejerking going on, ateotd we've played one game, in awful conditions and lost because ultimately we didn't adapt well enough to the weather. I seem to recall this happening in previous seasons (harlequins in the snow for example) and gone on to make the playoffs regardless.

Yes its a worry that we seem to still be struggling to score but lets be honest with ourselves, the league and certainly the playoff positions are not decided upon after the first week of the season, there's a LONG LONG way to go yet.

Yes, but. This is not just one game, is it? It's a continuation of the previous season but without a good defence. If it had been just the one game then knee jerking would be a valid accusation. However, it isn't so it isn't.

Which is why, despite my best efforts, no one has actually jumped yet. The back end of last season was a mess performance wise. The last few seasons have shown how good the players can be, the majority of them were excellent under Anderson for example. But the level and probably more importantly the style of rugby we are playing grates. Saints are an absolutely terrible team to watch, entertainment was once thought a given, but now it's a distant dream.

We haven't scored 20 points in a non-bye situation for a stupidly long time. Those are the sorts of records the basement dwellers don't come close to replicating.
